Default Who should I stay with?

So, I have a serious relationship with this guy for over a year now. We have a great time and I know he loves me but for some reason I don't feel absolutely complete. He wants us to move in together and he's willing to change his whole life (he's currently living in another country)and move in with me. In a week I'll meet his whole family and spend X-mas with them. I've never had a serious relationship like this before and he's the only one who's taken me seriously and been with me throughout good and bad times.

He's totally 'husband material', a really great guy and he's crazy about me, but...

A couple of weeks ago I met someone completely different. He's the kind of guy you can live a great romance with. We get along very well and he's already told me he loves me and I think I feel the same, but still I'm insecure about the future.

My problem now is, should I stay in the safe side or take chances and give it a shot???

It's not fair to your current boyfriend that you're in love with someone else. Take a chance with this other guy. Just because your boyfriend is perfect on paper doesn't mean it will work out between you two.

I know it's not fair, that's why I really need to take a desition soon.

On the other hand, I'm afraid to leave my current boyfriend 'cause he's very much attached to me and I'm scared of what might happen to him (he tends to get depressed)

You've got plenty of life ahead of you. If you have more chemistry with this new guy then take a chance.

Except if I were in your current boyfriend's shoes I'd be really, really fucking pissed.

Why? It's not like she's done anything wrong with this other guy. I mean, it's better for her to leave her current bf now then to lie to herself for a couple more years, maybe get married to her current boyfriend, and then realize that this is really not what she wants, then it would even suck more for her current boyfriend. So yeah pick me Lucy

Oh the mighty wise Sick_Boy, always knowing what to say, rendering the rest of us worthless.

what i want to know is, if you don't feel all that good about your current bf, why the hell did you let this drag on as long as you did?

Cause girls like security, they like the thought that if they don't get anybody else that they still got somebody to fall back on. Preferably someobody who's got a nice fixed life, so they know that they'll have a good life, you know, so they know where they'll end up.

Girls would rather deny their real feelings and go with a smaller feeling and play it safe, they to take a risk and have the most fearfull thing happen to them. Beeing alone!!! oooh imagine. Like a girl like Lucy could ever be alone, yet still some girls think like this.

sybil is justified in his thinking.

Sorry to hear about it.

Best of luck to the both of you in this difficult time.

Edit: Sounds like a case of cold feet with a chance romance.

You're not my girlfriend, are you? Because I sound suspiciously like the perfect-on-paper chump who ends up used and dumped and thrown away.

Well? You're 21 aren't you? Is it time for a 'Starter Marriage' or do you still want to go through a series of guys who'll tell you they love you after a couple of weeks (uh huh...) before moving on?

It is pretty addicting isn't it? The thrill of getting close to new strangers? Have you considered the pleasure possible from getting new strangers on a regular basis?

Same here, only the bitch sounds like my ex boyfriend.

Good luck! I hope when you chuck away the best thing in your life for a quick fuck with some random guy I really really hope you realise exactly what you've lost..

you guys/girls really don't understand hu...she said she doesn't completely love him! He might be the safest thing to do but not therefore the best thing! So go over it again he is "the safest choise" but therefore not "the best choise" The most important thing when choicing somebody to be with your entire life is that you are happy with him/her and that you really love him/her and that you don't just stay with him/her just because you know you'll have a good/safe life.

If she doesn't completly love him she shouldn't get commited to him. Cause then, it's even worse then if she would just break it up right now. If she would take it all the way without really loving him, she'd be hurting herself and who knows, she might even break it off after 10 years and then it is far worse, she is very old then and the hurting for her and her boyfriend will be far worse.

Do the people who are saying she should stay with the guy she doesn't completly love understand?
