It'll raise the average quality of threads in here, I say go for it.

Just be prepared to catch a lot of grief from the kidiots for it.

Totse needs PMing, and pinned posts.

Overall, good rule, as long as you post a general guide before closing.

Unless it has some sort of interesting twist then it's a good idea.

Failing that, let 1 randomly chosen thread of that nature out of each three you come across and let it live, see if a particular type evolves out of it, might be interesting?

I think that "how to ask out", even though it is definitely overdone, can always make for some interesting conversation and novel ideas.

I think it should be allowed once in a while.

Just not in the form of "omg how do i ask this girl out that i like?"

Maybe you should make a thread made just for the "How to talk to girl" and "How to get with girls" type of stuff. It'll cut down on all the extra threads, but people will still have a place to ask the question.

What about "Is there something wrong with me" or "Why" type of thread? For an example, "I don't know what's wrong with me?! blah blah".

And what about the "am I a pedo?" and other variations of the age gap question threads?

We should have an official Pedophilia thread, complete with pics and everything.

If it's written alright, who cares if the questions been over done? just don't click the link. if the topics already done recently just close and tell them to read that thread.

I have made an "omg why don't girls like me?" fread, aeons back before I became the ivory sex god I am today, so I can see where people are coming from.

Don't oppress them, just close clone threads...say one new one each week or something. People get used to building off of one topic, rather than seeing reason for a new topic for each similar instance.

Your forum, Your rules.

hmmmmm....i actually disagree. while those threads might be boring and redundant to us "regulars," they're actually very important to the people who make them, more so than just general debate/share topics. these are personal issues people are having, and as long as they write a couple paragraphs elaborating on the situation (rather than just two-liners) i see no reason why they should be denied our help. maybe, for threads that are extremely general and don't give any detail, tell them to give details and elaborate, otherwise it will be closed. but don't close personal threads like that just because the themes are redundant.

also, don't forget the new users. they won't have seen a lot of these topics, and they deserve to have a chance to discuss them amongst themselves rather than just having to search for them. that's the point of a forum, to discuss, not just to read info. it's like the market for movies. of course to the old timers, most new movies just seem like repeats of old movies. but those repeats still get made because the new generation wants their own version.

Surely though if someone wants to know how to talk to girls they would be better off just having a go at it than posting a spurious thread. That's how we did things back in my day :P

it´s been tried so many times, give up. you can´t keep the maggots outside. and where is the line, to separate sophisticated chat from immature bullshit? maybe enigma has changed his mind, but as far as I remember, it´s not his philosophy to keep people away from a chance to get knowledge ..

the best way to prevent this is that you are a good role model, the rest will follow ..

jack, i think you should reconsider. people in this thread are generally going to agree because they are regulars and have nothing to lose from the new rule. the people who have something to lose are newcomers to the forum or people who aren't on very regularly. i think this is a case where cost exceeds benefit.

I think it is a great idea, just so long as an original 'guide' is readily available in the archives or something. Althought I was about to start a thread regarding conversation with 'her' parents/family etc, but *shrugs*

Do please! (try telling her uber chrisitan parents that you've got their daughter pregnant...now that was a day I could have lived without!)
