Royally fucked up...
Okay, so it's kind of another Amanda thread. But not for advice, just opinions.
Me and her have always had our ups and downs (understatement of the century). More so than normal people, we have REALLY high ups, and REALLY low downs.
But I was wondering, how can two people, so deeply in love (and trust me...we are) just not work out? Why do things constantly fall to shit? Aren't emotions enough?

Re: Royally fucked up...
sometimes love just isn't enough...
if people are so different (different life styles, opinions, attitudes) no matter how much love they can feel for each other it is never enough to stop all the fighting and heartache.

That advice was useless when you first gave it to me, no offense. It wasn't that your advice was bad, it was that her feelings for me weren't strong enough that I could just get up and leave and expect to have her back.
But now, I can guarantee I could leave for 3-12 months, come back, touch her the way I used to, and she'd melt into my arms.
So now, it'd work.
What do you mean by plan long term? Get some worldly experience?

If love isn't enough, then I have lost what little faith in humanity I had left.

None taken, but if you recall it was only one element of the overall strategy I suggested.
Just keep following the plan.
Do whatever you can to postpone trying to have a serious relationship with her for at least a couple of years.
Doesn't matter a damn what you do in the meantime, as long as you remember two things:
1) You can decide to go your separate ways, but IF you do DON'T end things on a bad note.
2) No matter what, don't act in a way that'll make her lose respect for you.
Follow those two rules and you're set.
Fucking off from the country for a few years of adventures and debauchery wouldn't be a half bad idea either.

Re: Royally fucked up...
I was with a guy like that. We had a lot of respect for each other and I'm pretty sure I loved him (he told me he loved me all the time) but we fought like cats and dogs - 50% of our conversations were us fighting or disagreeing about something.
It was probably best it ended..

Re: Royally fucked up...
Considering you kept lecturing me to ditch my ex and used yourself and your 'strenth' in ditching amanda as an example to me..
Yet I'm the one who actually had the balls to end my soul destroying relationship yet you're still lapping it up..
I've lost.. all respect for you.

The difference is, you went crying back to YOUR ex like a little love sick puppy.
Amanda comes running back to ME, not the other way around any more.
And fullcircle, I fucked up both points. I think the last words said were
"You know where the fucking door is, get the FUCK out of my house".
Yoyo, don't start shit you wont be able to finish.

Unless there's something really bad you haven't told me, the way you fucked up point #1 might be balanced out with respect to point #2.
Those are the words of a guy with cojones, at least.

That's really bad..
Yeah I'm withdrawing my offer of you coming here. You sound like a complete whore, rather than just a partial one.

If you would quit dating CarBie? Maybe your girl wouldn't get so uptight?

Re: Royally fucked up...
I think it's all a matter of balance.
Every single relationship will have its equal balance of ups and downs. If two people can still be together through all the bullshit, or even ignore it to a point where everything seems like its up, then I think they'll stay together.

I'm actually a pretty good artist. I just have veeeeery high standards for something I will permanantly put onto my body.
No one was responding seriously, so I spent that money on taxi fares, club entry and copious amounts of MDMA.
I'm taking my sketch pad to my friend and he will help me out.
Sorry mate.
*Edit*
P.S. I was being deadly serious, I would have forked out $100, and more if I was amazed by the results.
