Default Is this a legit excuse to be mad?

Well, a close friend of mine who I sort of had a thing for, and I, were going to meet up at our homecoming this weekend. Well, being on the football I couldn't get there as soon as most people, but oh well I said, she'll still be there. We talked about nothing but dancing/taking pictures at this dance.

So I get to the dance and I'm standing around, figuring she'll see me, as I'm a giant, and we'll take our pictures, have our dances and what not. Well, 11:30 rolls around, then 12:00 rolls around, and no Lauren(the girl). So I ask one of her friends where she's at, and she says: Um, I'm not sure. OH WAIT! SHE DITCHED ME, THAT's RIGHT.

Well at this point I'm just kind of dumbfounded, because she was bringing one of her friends from out of town, and me and her used to be friends before she moved away. So here I am, here to see Lauren and this other girl, and it turns out they left.

I then proceed to text message her:

Me: Hey why'd you leave the dance so early?

Her: Nothing was going on, and the dance was boring

Me: Oh, fair enough the dance is boring (obviously sarcasm)

Her: Yea we went to *small town adjacent to ours* to a party, call sometime and we can hang

So is it wrong for me to be mad at my friend because she was the main reason I was going to homecoming, then she ditches me?

I just ended up standing around talking with one of my football buddies about the game we had just played, scoping out other chicks, so the whole night wasn't lost, but I was still pretty angry.

Yes, you have a right to be mad, but forget that chick.

Sounds like a dumb bitch, probably isn't into you either, sorry.

Sounds like you need to go smack-a-bitch.

Or better still, don't ever trust her again. :\

Well I kind of realize she's not into me, and I'm not really pursuing her like that. But we were pretty good friends, and the fact that she and I had a gameplan for the night, and she just blew it off, makes me mad.

She might just not have seen you man, and was the sarcasm that obvious via text message?

No, because she was gone before I even got there. She might not have gotten the sarcasm off the text message though.

Mmm that's pretty lame of her man. Yeah, you have a right to be a bit pissed off but don't hold a grudge.

Since you guys are just friends, it's not really the same as standing you up. She started out at the dance without a boy just like you ended up being without a girl, and since you took a long time, it makes sense for her to not want to wait so long (since you guys aren't dating or anything) and because you didn't really go together. If you really wanted it to be like a serious plan, then you should have made plans to pick her up after the game.

But you still do have a right to be pissed about it, but like it really depends on how you planned it out. Cuz she might have thought you just wanted to meet up at dance because both of you were gonna be there, and not specifically to see her.

Since she didn't wait for you thought, obviously she's not interested in you in a sexual way, so no point in being mad.. a person to talk to when you're bored is always nice.
