Ok, this might sound stupid, but I don't usually find myself in this type of situation. Like I've said countless times, even though I can attract a fair share of females initially, it rarely goes beyond the first date or making out or even sex...

Well I've already done all of the above with this girl and then some, so I think that something may be about to blossom...

With my ex, she just one day started up 'that talk'. You know, the whole "So.. where do you see us right now?" and "When people ask you what I am to you, what do you tell them?"

Well the girl I'm with right now isn't doing it, and I'm way too shy to do it myself.

I mean, we already act somewhat like a couple. When we go out, we always hold hands, and sit next to each other and cuddle and all that. Also, I find myself changing in the sense that I talk a lot less about hot chicks with my guy friends (especially while I'm with her).

Also, when people refer to her as my girlfriend, she doesn't say anything to correct them.

So where do I go from here?

I'm normally not one to label things so categorically, but relationships have rules to them, so in order to set those rules, one must be aware as to which stage in the relationship process they are at, right?

Put a small carborundum stone in your pocket and a large knife. Then while she and you are talking then start absent mindedly sharpening the knife...long slow loud strokes.

Then just turn to her and say in a soft serious voice 'you do know that if you kiss another boy i will cut your lips off and not just the ones on your mouth?'

She'll understand that you and she are an 'item' and will never again ask for a 'label'.

No! Don't assume I was in the same position and it NEEDS to be talked about. I was about the same place you are now and she didn't think we were going out at all until we had "the talk" then we were but it is necessary! Plus she can't cheat and say "oh i didnt know!" but neither can you also i can almost guarantee shes thinking the same thing right now even if she doesn't show it.

Do you guys ever say shit like, "I like you alot"? If not try that on her, and see how she reacts. Then maybe, if that creates a nice moment between you, just ask the blatantly obvious "so we're together now?", or something along those lines.

Yeah, you just gotta ask. How can you be boyfriend and girlfriend if you're too shy to talk about your relationship? Actually, I just thought of a good idea. Just ask her sweetly if she wants to be your girlfriend. Also, it's good to hear that you've found someone.
