This is really cracking my mind apart so help and advice would be good.

To summarize my weekend (as a key, Girlfriend= Sarah, Brother = Alex).

I met Sarah 2 months ago when Alex was first going out with her. We immediately started getting along really well, but I wasn't particularly interested at this point- just kept it on a friend level, and she was good fun to be around. I kept out of the way of my brother to give them both a bit of privacy etc etc...

As time moves on things are not going well between Alex and Sarah. They've fallen out twice (like major arguments), and Sarah has threatened and suggested on numerous occasions of splitting up with him. Through pretty much 90% of this I've been the one who's listened to her problems, and tried helping her out. I care about her now, and we've become very close friends on top of that.

This weekend just gone saw things all fall into place. We were watching a movie together..hugging on the sofa under a bed cover as she was cold...and we got talking about various things...after talking about our close relationship she turned around and gave me that look..the one you see in films and described in books which is basically an invitation to kiss.

We kissed...caressed...fondled, but nothing more - and now we feel sick as parrots because we know the consequences of our actions could be huge. e and her family get along very well...I'm great friends with her brother, Mum and Dad as is Alex...and this would see the end to all that.

We have decided to leave it to this weekend...we cant go on from here, but I can't help feel I should follow my heart. We clicked like...no one I've ever known. It's got to the point where I am wondering whether I should hold out till Alex and Sarah split up so I can get an opportunity...I dunno.

Anyone got some decent advice?

I didn't even read it, but just the title...DON'T! All I can say, don't, that would be the most fucked up thing that could happen to anybody, just think how you would feel.

Pretty sure you did a bit more than hit on her. It's a bad idea though. I really doubt either of your families would take too kindly to you two dating.
