I've been posting excessively lately... oh well.

How do you guys feel about your siblings? Love em? Hate em? Do you guys like, hang out with eachother, or do you avoid eachother at all costs? Think they're an idiot/smart as hell?

I ask this because I went out for dinner with my brother and his friends this evening. It was his birthday, he's 31 now. It absolutely amazes me that he still acts like a 16 year old. I thought at some point you grow out of the getting wasted off your face every weekend, casual sex with sluts, clubbing days. I mean, it's a little sad, no? Most of his friends are married/careers/kids, while he's... working for his dad, going back to school for the god knows what'th time, and just generally being a giant waste of space.

I don't get how we can be such polar opposites. He does have the excuse of the whole psychological disorder thing, but really, it's not an excuse for being a fuck up. Right? Nah. Maybe I'm adopted...

I have a 17 year old sister. We are also polar opposites, in both looks and personality.

She's got a long term boyfriend that she's likely to marry, into sports, a healthy lifestyle etc etc. Isn't girly, she's one of those girls that walks round in one of her various sports uniforms/tops - in a pair of shorts, and a singlet.

Alcohol, drugs and partying don't really interest her, just sports.

We get on better now that I don't live at home. We are similar in our sence of humour, minus my tendancy to turn everything into something sexual. She's smart, but has no comman sence. We hang out a lot more then we used to.

My sister and I are fantastic when we get together, honestly, I love her to bits.

However when we're with any other person we're pretty much complete polar opposites. Emotionally she;s very much like my mother, which means that she'll pretty much do anything to get people to like her. This includes, but is not limited to acting stupid, ditzy or if it's required, like a bit of a hoebag.

We look physically similar, but our key interests are very different. She's into being outside and long term boyfriends. I on the other hand am more of an indoors artsy type, and have alot of trouble commiting to anything. But hey, we've all handled our situations differently emotionally, we wouldn't have eachother any other way.

I don't love her any less, but it frustrates me to no end.

But in short, yes, I love and cherish my baby sister.

I love them all...but I can't really communicate well with them. We're each WAY too different...and I'm not the best conversationalist to begin with. My areas of interest are philosophy, religion, explosives, and electronics...they're more into education, careers, sports, socializing. I'm the odd one of the bunch.

there is 6.5 years between myself and my sister(i am the younger). she is a doctor and has never tryed any drugs, the only thing that she has tryed is boose.

i on the other hand smoke drink and do drugs, is quite funny, she is the good law abiding one while i am the oposite.

We get on great, and she is normally pretty cool.

My sister is almost 6 years older than me and we are VERY different.

I have two half sisters. One from each of my parents' past relationships.

My sister I lived with is cool. She's short, and chubby, but has a killer personallity. She's got a huge house, a GREAT husband, and a kid on the way. We either hate each other like crazy, or we're great mates, no inbetweens.

Then there's the other bitch. She sucks, I hate her.

Then there are my three foster siblings. They're all disabled. Their mum was a drug addict and took a HEAP of drugs while they were in the womb. They're all midgets. Stunted growth. A pack of lil' funny fuckers. The eldest is quite intelligent. The other two are stupid. They don't get jokes, or sarcasm very well, so it's hard to hang out with them. But they LOVE slapstick comedy. I love them all, play with them a lot. Even though I'm rough, and people think I'm hurting them, they're ALWAYS willing to keep playing.

I'm an asshole to them in that brotherly way. It's my right as an older brother. But if they ever need me, I'm there. And if any one ever fucks with them, well, I see my siblings as good reason to go to jail.
