Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
You will allways have you. And you will allways respect yourself. That's about all I can give you.
That, and the fact that I respect you enough to take the time to type this and say.. It really does get better.
Get a pet. Dogs are awesome, but if that's not feasible, guinea pigs will do.

I don't know if pets like you so much as the food you provide, though I can't deny that I'd like a nice warm cuddling cat right now, who doesn't care about anything except warming my lap.
And I just feel kind of gipped. I think I'm a decent enough person. I would hang out with myself any day. And yet...then by now I would probably have found someone I connect with as much.
Do decent, loyal, nice, caring, cool, fun, moral, supporting people exist?

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
yoyobeks right.
Friends come and go, the only thing thatl be constant is you, and you will be the only person whos absolutely guaranteed to be there, an dbe on your side, everytime your in trouble, hence, learn to rely on you because your gonna have to live with yourself for the rest of your life.
Relationships are just a way to enjoy your life a bit more. But youll be needing that guy, you, to get those relationships, aslong as you have him, youll be right.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
I feel alone right now, mate.
I work nights so I don't get much time with my friends and family. Most importantly the girl I'm engaged to.
She's been going out lately and I haven't been able to call her just to talk and we're now having arguments about everything...My brother is working again after the army broke his back so he's predisposed...Work just keeps putting more shit on my plate.
It feels like I've got nobody to talk to...Nobody who will just sit and listen to what I have to say and especially nobody who is going to try to help me out with all the shit that's going on right now.
My girl says that I'm not alone but it's hard to agree with her when everyone is busy enjoying themselves when I'm fully awake or working to muxh to talk when I'm just chilling down from work.
NobodY I'm applying to for jobs is giving me anything no matter how I try.
All these negative vibes are bringing back the bad part of my mind, which gave me the nickname you see on the screen...The paranoia, the anger...Everything.
Plus the festive period has always been a bad time for me.
God I feel so alone right now.
You've got my sympathy, brother...Hope everything goes well for you in the end, mate.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
Loneliness, fear, anxiety, anger, sorrow, pain...these all suck. You've got to stand up when you feel like shit and rely on yourself even then - when shit goes raw, you can't just give in and expect anything to get better.
Got problems with your girl? Talk about it. Don't let yourself yell at her...but talk about the things you don't think you should; you might find the relationship shouldn't be, or you might find it strengthened. But don't be afraid.
Afraid of being alone? Don't be. You're a human being with a funtional mind, a body, hopes, dreams, and aspirations. So long as you are dedicated to your goals, you really can accomplish many great things, even if you don't recognize the support you have. You can build anything you want...you just have to be dedicated to the work involved. Do the best you can with determination - you'll atleast be able to look back and tell yourself you've done what you could to make the best of things. Not all efforts will be met with the desired outcome...but the knowledge and experience gained will be just as much a success.
So long as you are alive and remotely sane, you can come back from the brink of death. Humans are a lot stronger than we often think of ourselves...we just have to rough it through some shit.
Another thing: It doesn't hurt to believe in some sort of purpose...whether it be honor, truth, god, love, peace, friendship, family...anything really. We're mortal...so don't fret over the destructibility of these things...just find something you care deeply about and work to attain and maintain it.

Thank you. I was feeling pretty lonely there myself. I don't have an excuse to be lonely. Hopefully I feel better soon.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
I know how you feel there. I'm like that right now.
Everytime I finally make something of my self something bad happens.
Finally got into a working relationship... Everything turning out my way... Lost her and all my friends. Had to regain my friends again...
Got a few back. Made a real good friend. I moved to be closer to her... Got good paying job, somewhere to live was making something of myself... We were close but she and I decided that we weren't going to get to gether... That was fine everyhing was still all good we were as close if not closer then ever... But unfortunately for me I'm bipolar and ended up attacking someone... Lost 99% of friends again... Couldn't get Danielle to talk to me in there... I've been out for a week tomorrow... Had to move back 3 hrs away from where I moved to... Can't get Dani to answer my calls... Haven't spoken to any friends and no friends have tried to talk to me either. Family don't really like me. Don't have anyone to turn to here...
The thing that keeps me going is that I believe these things happen for a reason and if you look hard enough you will find that reason. You will feel better about your self. I speak from experience.
EDIT...
The first time between the break up with my girlfriend and the regaining of my friends there was a 6 month period where I didn't talk to anyone much, was on drugs, was an alcoholic, ect. And I managed to clean myself up and after that was when I met Dani and things really started working out.
So I say clean yourself up and make something of yourself. And thing will work then.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
Eh not trusting people is a part of life. You don't trust anyone no one trusts you everyones out for themselves. I have alot of friends and they always back me up but I can only trust one or two of them out of 20. That's just how it works.

Don't just hope...go out and talk to people. Even if you're feeling down, go out to a cafe or something and meet some people. If you're lonely, it's usually because you haven't met people that fit into your life as it is right now. Perspective, focus, and determination...they're all you need to make the life you want.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
I usually do actually.
I do find however that having something to do keeps my mind off it, I used to have nothing to do but now I'm in college that's changed, you need something to keep your mind busy and off other things, either something like college work or a hobby.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
The only thing that's saved me from absolute insanity is to stop thinking.
Thinking is lethal. If you think about the bad and sad stuff in this world, or you start to think too deeply about things you cant change, you'll go mad.
I installed in my mind a sort of firewall. I now ignore all the bad thoughts and memories and carry on with my little life like nothing is wrong.
All you can do is fling yourself into doing what you do, work, hobbies, ect.
That may sound gay. But keeping busy will give you less time to get depressive.
I've spent the last few weeks making and decorating christmas cakes for people, christmas shopping, knitting (shut up), guinea pig training,ect..
Thus, I've sucsesfully passed another month without thinking.
It's awesome. I recomend it.

Re: Do you ever feel so very, very, very alone?
I'm like that sometimes. Actually I suppose I'm always like that, I feel as if nothing is real. I feel that the only time I'm really at "home" is when I'm dreaming. It's kind of fucked up and I think I might be crazy. But it was once said that you can't be crazy if you know you're crazy so I dunno. Point is, you have to start doing things to make you feel happy and to not think about what's bad. It's the only thing that keeps me from being depressed all the time. What helps me is upbeat music, being around people, cigarettes and coffee. I find most drugs get me depressed now too.

No, I never feel alone. Some people just have dependencies on other people, and you rarely meet others who don't depend on someone to give them what they need.

I do right now. I'm left with very few friends. I've lost a few to drugs.
My best friend of ten years recently started going out with a manipulative bitch, and now he's starting to show his true colors.
My girlfriend is depressed, and often won't tell me her problems. I'm kind of angry at her at the moment, but even when I'm not, I don't know how much she likes me. She says "I love you" often, before taking it back.
I don't know if there is anyone who really respects me, or likes me for who I am. Who doesn't want to use me.
I feel so goddamn alone, like I have no allies who will always side with me and be cool. My future, while full of potential, could be bleak. Fuuccccckkkkk, I need real friends.
I feel like that a lot too.
and I cry a lot.
Take a bubble bath and play some uplifting music for yourself.
I recommend the song; "MMMMMBob da rippey drop, by Hanson"

Listen to some metal and toke up. It works for me. Do it with some buddies, and you'll start appreciating the freinds you have (and I'm sure you at least have aquantinces).
