The little details are what make you smooth
Being smooth with girls isn't about a mental attitude. You can't mentally be "smooth". You can be chilled out maybe, but not smooth.
Smooth is about the details.
For example: when you're at a restaurant with a girl, you ask her what she wants to have before the waiter comes, and then when the waiter comes you tell him what you'll both be having.
Add similar "details", totse.

Re: The little details are what make you smooth
The details take care of themselves through personality, either in a positive or negative light.
If I stop to think about things, they always seem completely foolish.

Good idea, if you're living in the 50's. Women want to feel strong and independant, so let her order her own food. She'll stop wanting independence once the bill comes.

Show me a girl who doesn't like having a door opened for her, and I'll show you a three headed mongoose.
edit: btw there's a very big difference between deciding what she's going to order, and telling the waiter what she said she wants to eat.

I'll add more of my own when they come to mind.
Another one is: when you offer to buy a girl a drink in a bar and she says yes, don't ask her what she wants. Ideally you should know your alcohol well to do this, but failing that a cosmopolitan never misses the mark.

Some women want to feel strong and independent. Some want to feel safe, secure and cared for...I'd say the majority fall in the latter.
Now, to think of my own. Hmm...nope, can't do it. Although I have had some success with girls, it's never been by being smooth.

When you get indoors and both of you are wearing coats, ALWAYS offer to take off her coat before yours.

When you've just had sex, get the girl chocolate. Even if the sex was horrible, she'll be lured back to you by candy.

Feminism has gone completely fucking overboard.
The fact is, most girls like to be taken care of. And as long as you do it in a way that doesn't treat them like they couldn't do it themselves, they like it.
That's the trick. They have to know that YOU know they could do it anyway... you just WANT to do it for them.
In a non servile way of course.

Re: The little details are what make you smooth
I still disagree. Say you ask her, and she says steak. Then you're like "I'll have ... and she will have the steak". Then the waiter asks what she wants on the side, how she wants her steak cooked, and a bunch of other shit you dont know and she has to answer anyway. Let her order first, then you order. Dont be mistaken, I am all for opening doors and other acts of chivalry, but ordering her food has some impracticalities that will impede your smoothness.

The waiter will ask her directly, and she'll answer. The point isn't to treat her like she isn't there.
Oh and ALWAYS choose the wine. Even if you don't know what you're doing. Just don't choose the house wine.

That's a very good tip. The fact of getting her something AFTER sex scores highly in the female ranking board.

For the wine: Ask the waiter what he suggests to go with your meal; if the restaurant isn't complete shit anyways, the waiter should know.

^ Good point.
And if you want to order yourself, always remember:
White wines for fish/chicken/veal/pork.
Red wines for steak/beef.

Re: The little details are what make you smooth
i've had guys ask me what i want and then order for me, and usually my reaction is something like, "oh, that's cute. he's slightly controlling and/or he wants to prove his smoothness/dominance." but hey, maybe not all girls think this way. in fact, most probably do think it's smooth.
how do i determine smoothness? if some sort of a problem comes up, and he's able to talk his way out of it with his charm and charisma, saving us trouble or getting some sort of favor done for us. that is a skill that not everyone has, and i'm always impressed when a guy can do that.

Re: The little details are what make you smooth
Little things for me are just little compliments or caresses. Just making contact across the table, playing with her hand. That kinda stuff. Then agian I'm strange I guess.

Re: The little details are what make you smooth
I prefer the guy I'm with to defer the waiter to me when asking what I am ordering so I myself can state what I want, instead of him doing it. I'm not usually offended if he answers for me though, as long as he's right. And the wine thing... generally true. I'm damn picky with wine though. The wrong wine can ruin a whole meal.
And I will reach for the bill on 2 occasions. One, if it's a casual meal, or two, if I was the one who proposed the invite. Call me old fashioned or whatever, but when a guy is taking me out, I wouldn't call it an expectation that he pays, I definitely would, but it just seems... courteous? Courteous is a good word.
And a note: ALWAYS be nice to the waiter/waitress. Even if they screw up, be nice about it. Definite brownie points. Shows you're not a pyscho spaz.

Hmm, I agree with you to a degree.
I have a voice, I'll order my food. If I get to the door before you, I'll hold it open for you. I'll pay my half of the bill.
I'd kinda feel rather weird if someone ordered for me.

Caipirinha is usually a safe choice too, just because it's so damn good.

Hell, just be yourself. If you're smooth, you're smooth. If you're not, then be something else.

Just act curtious (but disinterested, as if it was second nature [don't smother])
