Do I buy the movie ticket?
So i'm going to the movies tomorrow with a girl(we both want to hook up). I'm wondering if I buy her movie ticket or not??
P.S I live in Australia and any tips about how to start hooking up with her would be appreciated.
We're both 15

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
I wouldn't, unless you have alot more money than her.
She's a hookup, not a wife/girlfriend.

I know you are an antipodean but that is no excuse.Basic social etiquette requires you at least offer.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
It never hurts to offer, but be able to accept however the cards fall. It really depends on the girl and the type of relationship.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
yup. offer.
I don't like letting guys pay for me... but if they don't offer it irks me. Which is a bit irrational because I am just going to refuse anyway... but.. I want the offer.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
be a gentleman and offer...she probably doesnt want to be labelled slutty so u might bring out a new side of her if you treat her properly rather then like a cheap slag.sounds deep but she shouldny be treat like a condom.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
i see no reason for you to pay. you're both 15, so you probably don't have a job. plus it's just a hookup. although, there is evidence that when a guy pays the girl is more likely to give it up. something about reciprocity.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
Ahh, the good old days of movie theater lust. Really, your best bet by far is the old "Hole in Popcorn Bucket" trick. After that it's just a waiting game.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
Good god there should be an age restriction on here.
Yes pay for the fucking ticket you douche. No, do not ask her if you should pay. Just pay, and if she has qualms about it, then address them after you are entering the theatre and give her a speech how you just don't feel right about letting her pay.
Not sure how you fucking Australians do it, but that is how it's done here. How to start kissing her? Buddy you will know.

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
Yeah, I live in Australia too that's irrelevant (sp?). But anyway, I think you should atleast offer to pay, its not really that big of a deal though. I personally do not like going to the movies to 'hook-up' or whatever purpose you're going there for.
A kiss should never be questioned for or forced, should always be accompanied by the moment permising the kiss. Judge by her body language if she wants you to kiss her or not. But in the end its not that big of a deal. I personally think you should go somewhere outside, where you have more of an opportunity to talk to each other and get to know each other. Back to kissing, most important thing is to make eye contact with her for a few seconds.
On an unrelated basis, what part of Australia are you from?

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
Lol, this reminds me of when my ex invited me out to a movie before we were officially going out. I figured that since she invited me, then either she should be paying for me, or she should at least pay for herself.
So when we were in the lineup to buy our tickets, I quickly pulled out my phone and called my friend to see what he was doing after, so that she would be forced to go ahead and pay for herself.
Lol. Believe it or not, we stayed together for like 7 months after that...

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
I'd say offer, but don't force the issue. If she wants to pay herself, let her. Trust me. I learnt the hard way

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
'Yes of course' seems like a pretty positive yes. If she said like 'yeah sure' or 'yeah ok' then I'd forget about it.
Alternatively, say something like "listen, I don't want to waste my time so is that a proper yes or one of those womanese yes's?"
Chicks dig that (actually they probably don't but that's how I do it anyway. COMMENTS LADIES?)

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
I can't help, the girl I like happens to be my supervisor, and I just happen to work at a cinema, so we both go in for fee anyway .
You should pay though, or at least offer anyway. It's rude not to. Hell, I offer to pay for various things for most of the people I'm out with, it's called being polite (so long as you know they'll do the same down the road).

Re: Do I buy the movie ticket?
Don't just buy her ticket, or offer, you buy her ticket before you even pick her up, then you just walk in. This is the way men take care of situations like this, its not even an issue don't even mention that you bought them, just tell her that its all taken care of when she goes to the ticket window to buy a ticket.
In this case you would have had to take someone else cause she was unable to come. But sometimes you have to pay 10 bucks for class.
Don't automatically think she is avoiding you, she probably had to work. You want to know for sure? Call her(don't text her) and set up another date, if she declines or cancels that one, its fini, don't even bother her again, if for some reason the second cancel is legit she will get back to you for a third try, but under no circumstances are you to continue to persue her after 2 blow offs.
And damn kid at 15 if all you are trying to do is bed her she can smell that shit coming a mile away, amateur. Don't bother.
