How big of a role do diet/excercise/drugs play in maintaining erection?
Well, i could give the whole backstory, but i have to go to school in a while so ill keep it short.
My girlfriend and I started having sex recently (my first time a while ago, with her) and i cant keep it very hard for very long. I know i AM able to do it, because i can stay hard enough for her to give me head, and we did it well a few times, but for the most part, it just goes limp real fast.
I was looking up on it, and all i could find were viagra ads and shit, but i was wondering: how big of a part does a good diet/excercise/drug use play in this? Because i eat lots of greasy foods/snack foods, dont excercise much (still in good shape though, damn good metabolism), and i smoke pot every day (usually only once a few hours before bed, but sometimes ill do it in the daytime)
Im 17 btw.

I'll leave this up but I wonder if this wouldn't get better responses in RI.
And yes, as far as I know all the things you list can have a negative effect on your libido/erection.
Oh btw way people, if this turns into an anti/pro hash then it'll go to Meta .

Instead of talking about it why don't you just quit with the weed and fast foods and start jogging every second day for two weeks. That'll answer your question far more effectively then any of us could.

Re: How big of a role do diet/excercise/drugs play in maintaining erection?
infact.. it has alot to do with it.
"back in the day" I used to be a swimmer(IE.. swimming 3hours a day 7 days a week) ate really well, and didn't do drugs. At that point I was physically fit enough to last hours(literally, hours..) and could keep it up for just as long. Wore a few chicks out a few times.
Now that I eat like crap, and don't exercise much, and used to smoke all day everyday for about 6 months.. I don't have the ability to keep it up for hours and hours.. i'm limited now to about 2 hours.. small break(sammiches!) and then I'm up for more.
Damn.. now that I write this I need to get back into shape.

Re: How big of a role do diet/excercise/drugs play in maintaining erection?
I'm 17 too and in pretty good shape, so i thought i could relate.
IME pot does affect libido, but only after smoking for long periods of time (ie every day)I attributed this to the whole "burnt out" feeling i got from smoking after a while. Even if you dont notice it
Whats curious about it is the fact that this didn't really happen when i first started smoking, only after a year or two. My best option (personally) was to quit altogether, and i noticed within a week i was starting to get horny as fuck all once again, and within 2 weeks i'd say my libido was back to normal.
Amphetamines on the other hand... heh heh

Re: How big of a role do diet/excercise/drugs play in maintaining erection?
My boyfriend doesn't workout, eats shitty foods (although he still has an amazing body) and has been a heavy pot smoker for like 5 years...And he never has trouble maintaining his erection...I don't know, maybe he's just lucky?
But yeah, like people have been saying, start working out and eating well and see if it makes a difference. If not, I would go see a doctor.

well, I know that when you're on MDMA, you get horny as fuck, but some males find it hard to get a boner.
