I got caught with smoking weed in the house again, and my my parents got all pissed off and shit telling me how I'm going to end up doing crack on the streets lol.

My dad says tomorrow I don't come to work anymore, because he doesn't want his boss or friends knowing I'm a "Drug Addict" even though my dad isn't the boss there just the longest employee also half the guys I work with do way more then I do.

Wants me to stop working, so I can't buy weed. I'm 17.

I have a feeling my relationship with my parents took a major dive-down. Any advice?

You are a legal adult, you can move out if it is a huge problem. Although moving out probably won't be in your best interest.

You didn't really give us enough info about your place of employment or your dad. Why does your dad think people will think you're a drug addict if you go to work the day after you smoke weed? That makes no sense. Do you work with your dad?

I went through this kind of shit for ages. Luckily my folks are pretty cool so they understood after I ignored them for the 20th time that I'm happy doing what I do. Just let them know that you're not going to stop, but don't be a dick about it. Compromise in some ways, listen to what they have to say about it and have an honest dialogue about it.. they'll appreciate it even if you still want to be a stoner bastard.

you just gotta tell em what they want to hear and not show up baked around em. If your parents are against weed, there is no changing that. The long line of being busted convincing them your fine and being busted again may hurt their trust, but it will be for smoother sailing with your lifestyle. Their house, their rules. However, outside of that, if your father isnt the boss of the company you work for, he legally has no fucking right to tell you not to come to work.



Apart from anything, he's seriously fucking up your shit. If you get a bad record from this job for not turning up, you wont get references. Which means future employers will be unwilling to take you.
