Ive just started going to this church that my dad has gone to for years and theres this girl there I want to hook up with.How should I go about doing it and what should I say to her?I believe that if I tried talking to her I wouldnt have anything to say and it would be awkward.

she's just a person. how would you react if someone of the opposite sex started talking to you? how would you want them to do it? (assume that you don't have any desire to bone said person.) you'd probably want them to just introduce themselves, have some idle banter, ask you a bit about yourself, and then say bye bye until next time. if they did this on a pretty regular basis, you might even call them an acquaintance, and probably wouldn't object to seeing them outside of the usual time.

my point: treat her like a person, build up a rapport (preferably an exciting/mildly flirty one if you want to hook up) and then think about getting with her.

choose a seat directly next to hers and smile at her. say hello and ask her name. then turn your attention to the service and pay her no mind. during the part where everyone shakes hands, introduce yourself. talk about where you live, go to school, etc. try to establish common ground. you should be able to tell pretty quickly if she's appalled, in which case just focus on the service and then get your butt outta there.
