Religous girls...
Sitting at the new cafe, a group of religous girls came in, and we were talking about religous beliefs.
One said " I know I am going ot heaven, because I believe in Jesus as my savior"
I started a one on one convosation on God, and how I believed Jesus was a good man, but he in no way deserves a religon based on him.
I have seen them at the other cafe, and they live closer to this one. I was wondering if it would be possible, that maybe her position on God, and religon would change over time? I mean, other than her position on God, She is a great girl.

Re: Religous girls...
You could probably have a relationship with her if you respect her beliefs.
But don't fuck with god, he's the biggest pimp of them all and will destroy any relationship if you try to cross him. (LoL, cross him)

Re: Religous girls...
If you were to have a relationship, you'll learn to put beliefs aside an continue on with a relationship, In the end I guess you just have to respect her beliefs and continue one. You never know though, she could only be into the whole religion thing because she hasnt' had anything/anyone else.
I think she'll probably sort out her priorities if/when you two get together, I say give it a shot (if thats what you're questioning) and see how it goes.

Re: Religous girls...
Meh, with girls like that it's not a good idea to discuss religion. They're pretty much brainwashed and their minds have been unopened and sheltered.
I know it doesn't seem like it but if she's extremely religious, it's going to be hard to dodge the fact that you aren't in a relationship and it will probably result in a break up, or bad communication problems.
If you think she's intelligent and mature enough to handle a serious conversation, you should talk to her about it. Ask her what exactly she believe and why. Recommending a few good philosophies would be a good start in broadening her horizons.

Simple answer is NO I'm afraid.
It can be done but it carries a real and great risk of fucking her up mentally big time.
You see Christianity gets right inside your mind. Ask anyone who was brought up in a strict christian household and now, as an adult, no longer believes. They will tell you that there is still sometimes that 'little voice'.
I will sit down and write an "Old Perv's Guide To Getting Into A Christian Girl's Knickers" at some point.
It is possible...sometimes.

Gus, whatever the Ohio situation, it is NOT to be fought out here on S&A. And threats of account breaking are a no-no.

Re: Religous girls...
a LOT of girls start off very religious, brainwashed by their families and communities. but they're young and haven't been exposed to much else. don't assume they won't ever change, because it's likely that after some exposure to the outside world she will modify her beliefs, as many do. and you can help this along by respectfully challenging and questioning her. key question: how old is she, and has she ever left your town?

Dude there are some freaky ass Catholic chicks out there trust me. I have dated two in my life and both of them were probably the best kissers and best in bed that I have ever had. Weird shit. I'm not saying that all of them are like that but at least the ones I knew were.

"Janet...
You know, I may have stopped now. But when I was younger, I remember christmas... I remember easter...
I remember church was the happiest time of my life.
Somehow, better than happy, just complete and safe, you know?
Oh, I don't know!
It's really embarassing for me.....
But...
But...
*take her hand*
Could you take me to church sometime? There's something missing in me deep down and I think you can help me find it again.

Uh huh... Yeah... Even though I have no intention of ever meeting Bushy, as he's not worth my time in the least... But though, what-fucking-ever.

Re: Religous girls...
I went out with a fundamentalist muslim girl for 8 months. She even tried to convert me but I just turned any religious conversation into a joke. We had real, serious discussions but day-to-day religious stuff I try to avoid.

WOOOH! VOODOONIRVANA! Now that that's out of the way, I think that most girls who are like HARDCORE religious are usually unintelligent. However, there are some incredibly smart, moderately-religious females out there, no doubt about it. It's all the luck of the draw. However, if she says blatantly, "You'll go to Hell if you don't accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and repent your sins in the name of God," then she's probably an uninformed, shallow, ditzy bitch. Good luck, guys.

It's her belief, no reason to attack it. It's her choice, she has the ability to read and listen and ponder whatever she chooses.
Unless you're a Jesuit. You aren't a Jesuit, right?

I'd say yes and no.
My first boyfriend had a strong influence on my beliefs since it's something we discussed frequently before we married. He leaned strongly toward oriental philosophies...so there was still a spiritual element within our union.
There will always be a spiritual aspect to how I view things. Even when I considered myself atheist at one point...there was still that sense of something greater (for me). After all...I was rejecting theology moreso than spirituality...but did not know that at the time.
I think, the chance to affect another persons outlook is just as possible as them affecting your own.

Re: Religous girls...
Ye of little faith. You have to know HOW to try to change/open her mind. It wont be easy and it wont be quick, but yeah, it can be done. In the mean time, you don't have to focus on those beliefs. I mean, if you like her, then you like her. Couples all disagree on some things. You just have to know how to live with it - assuming you can't help to liberate her.
