Kissing and Mono
This isn't 100% S&A, but I don't know anywhere else to put it.
So I recently had mono, and am now 99% recovered from it. The worst of the disease came on around thanksgiving weekend and has been getting better ever since then, so I know it's on it's way out.
I have heard that mono is MOST contagious in the 4 weeks or so BEFORE any symptoms are present.
Now, I've had a girlfriend who I was making out with quite often during that 4 week or so period (and even some when I was showing symptoms, before I got tested for mono). She's fine, never got anything. Does this mean that she is immune to it?
Even if I'm sure she is, I'm going to hold off on the kissing for a while just to be safe. I just want to know how cautious I need to be around her.

Re: Kissing and Mono
Signs of mono usually develop 4 to 6 weeks after you're exposed to the virus. Generally, people only get mono once so even if you have passed it on to your girl you should be good to kiss with abandon.

same thing happened to me; my boyfriend got it and we never stopped making out. i never got it at all. i think your body can get it and hold on to it for awhile, but this was like...months ago, and i'm still fine.

Re: Kissing and Mono
So if she is going to get it, she's already got it? So that means kissing should be OK?

Totally dude and you won't get mono again if you've already had it. Go for it..
