Eh...
sex is like 80%, or was it more, mental attraction anyway.
you've got the physical means (hand), you've got the mental means (girl), so why not? I mean, you might as well just masturbate, but whatever.

Re: cyberlove anyone? post your stories
September of last year, right after I registered here, I posted my MSN in a thread. And that night, a guy (MLoR) messaged me. We chatted for a while, just about every day. I started to become attracted to him somehow, like, I had this really weird feeling; like he was special somehow, even though I didn't even know what he looked like. As the next few months went, he helped me with a lot of problems, and helped me get out of my shitty relationships. And then, February 28th 2006, I was at my sisters dorm for the weekend, and up really late as usual. I had been HAUNTED by the strong feelings I had for this person. It wouldn't leave me alone. I thought about him day and night. But I didn't think he felt the same way. So I finally poured out all me feelings. And, thankfully, he said he felt the exact same way. We've been together ever since. It's been 9 months now. He drove 500 miles to see me in October, and then again in November, and we're hoping for another visit after Christmas. After I graduate next August, I'm moving in with him and his dad. And when we have enough money for our own place, we'll get one.
A relationship starting online can really work. I think you can really get to know a person on a deeper level without fearing rejection to much online. And in knowing this, I have met, and fell in love with, the most amazing person in the world. And I love him more than ANYTHING. My eyes are tearing as I type this.

and yes I do miss suzie, Zefram Cochrane, is that you?
when I talked about this with someone else the first thing on my mind was that I haven´t had contact with her for a while. her site is down, she doesn´t show up on messenger and I haven´t got any email. and to be true, I now remember our last chat, she asked me for my phone number, I gave it to her, and from then I lost her. there are not many people in this world who understand my poems .. can you now scratch my back plz?

Actually, CNKOMMANDO's comment was funny.
Lighten up dude. I'm going through cyber love right now, but I'm seeing her in Janurary. As long as you actually have the means and plans to see them, then it's not stupid. otherwise, it is.

once you decide you click with a person, it doesn't really matter how you first made contact. and as long as you can relatively quickly take things to a face-to-face level, there's no reason why it should be viewed as "weird." we all use the internet. if you spend enough time doing something you're bound to meet others in the process.

PirateHippie has my respect. =/
Cyber LOVE, as in, LOVE, not sex... Very plausible to occur. If not, it's more REAL than any real-life relationship could be, as long as there are no big lies involved.
That would include, like, Internet Predator-ness, which should be a constant fear to anybody who wants to meet their lover. But once you've both been able to establish that you're receiving the truth and nothing but, I just see it as a long-distance relationship.

thx now plz delete the link for her privacy. I had this link too, but she told me she´d leave there, and from the comments posted there she really had.
from my point of view there are 2 things that make internet relationships or those that started in the internet easier than real life relationships.
anonymity and asynchronus communication.
let´s say it´s saturday night and you´re at a club. you see someone you really would like to talk to, but you are so overwhelmed you become shy. as you don´t go up to this person, someone else does so (mostly a dork) and maybe they even leave the club together. next saturday you go to that club, and see this person again, would you be less shy now or even more?
now imagine this in the internet, a forum or chat room. would you be shy? even if you got dismissed, just change your name, you can have endless first impressions ..
it´s saturday night again, and you see someone special. but you don´t have much time, so you behave like a bull at the gate. as you need to go, you ask for the number, but you don´t get it because it wasn´t already time for this. the next time you meet you won´t get it either, because you are categorized as "dork" or you can´t get any conversation back.
now this in the internet, do you need to hurry? you write ttyl, gtg, or cya and in your next message you just continue from that point again making it almost eternal. you have endless time ..
internet relationships are like cats, you don´t need to feed them everyday, just some attention betimes or when they ask for it and they will love you. people of today long for constants, no more big families, no more big neighbourhoods, they got a mail from their internet loves when they come home and they´re fine ..

That's not true. I'd love to hear the story, I bet other people would too.
I have no idea how I failed to realise that oc6 was who she is 'til now. But yay! Glad to see you're still here after all ^^
Anyway. I met the girl I love over the internet... through Totse, in fact. Luckily, she lives close enough to see semi-regularly. We click in person just as well as we do online, and things are wonderful. So yeah, it can happen. Although we didn't have to navigate the "sexual element" thing, so I can't comment on that.

Re: cyberlove anyone? post your stories
I've become attracted to somebody on the net. He doesn't know it yet. We talk every night for about 4 hours, average. We share a lot in common, almost too much. I really want him to come see me but since I'm only 14, I can't do much about it and I know my parents would be uncomfortable. I think he's leaving soon. I wish I could do something about it but I don't know what to do.
I think the internet's a great way to meet people. Especially through Totse, or just any sites you visit where you've got a general outlook on the person and you know you share a little in common, as far as humor goes.
People tend to be a lot more open on the web and you get to really know them for who they are instead of judging so quickly by their appearance, I'm probably look nothing at all like you would expect. Also, the fact that you don't fear being denied.
Good luck to you all with your relationships, BTW, and I hope everything works out.
