Default Issue.

Dear Totse, I need your help. Well, actually, I don't actually need help; I'm speaking on a friends behalf, without them knowing, I might add.

I'm living with a few girls and this guy on campus at uni. I get on really well with all the girls, but have a real problem with this particular guy. He's thick, fat and incredibly arrogant; unreliable, ignorant, incredibly rich and a total misogynist: because of these qualities, I'm afraid he's unbearable and immensely irritating. He's the type who, when meeting someone for the first time, will ask what their father does for a living and how much he earns - you know the type.

So, other than that, what's the problem? Well, he's attached himself to one of the girls I'm living with. She's a nice, normal girl who hasn't, to my knowledge, experienced any hardcore relationships. Often I'll walk into her room, however, and find him sprawled out on her bed, she's sitting on her seat looking worried and he's lasciviously eyeing her up. But, alas, this is the least of her problems: he'll frequently let her down - she wanted to visit her late grandfather's house for the last time. He offers to drive her there, but then decides it would be a good idea to get stoned and, thus, 'forgets' about the whole thing.

He's manipulative, slimy and swiftly becoming a problem, and you know what really gets me? She keeps on defending him...

Yep, it's another one of those girl likes fucking loser scenarios... Yet, there must be some way of letting her know that he's trouble. We've talked about it, but to no avail.

Help me help this poor girl out Totse.

Sounds like you all need to sit down with him and talk about it. Being an obnoxious bastard means he properly can't see the error of his ways.

you voiced your complants and she didn't listen. now, i'd stay mum for the most part, but stand by to point out his missteps as though they were "observations" if and when they occur. don't be confrontational or "i told you so," but do voice what you see. if there's a trend that points to certain negative personality traits, draw parallels to show that trend. eventually, if there's a case against him, it will become clear to her.

edit - though i do somewhat favor the "mind your own business" approach, CS has indicated he doesn't want to do that, so eh.

Good to see you, its been too long.

Secondly, you've told her your opinion so there is really nothing more you can do except be there for her when it all goes to shite.

It sucks seeing someone you care about hurt but that's the way it has to be. You can't live her life for her and you can't decide for her whom she should date.

Sometimes life just sucks...

You can't fight her battles for her.

Especially if she's not necessarily needing, or wanting, your help.

Unless she directly asks you for help, or he crosses an obvious line, it's not really your business.

She likes the male attention.

Give her attention. Positive attention. Or tell a friend who goes nuts over girls that she likes him.

You know, I think she does like the male attention; even if he does constantly fucker her around [not literally fortunately].

Pilsu - Yeah, I had thought out that. Still, it's not exactly his money - it's his parents. He's one of those, mummy and step-daddy just gave me £600 for the week types. He thinks in money, but doesn't know the value of it. When he references a 'friend' of his he will add their fathers occupation without fail.

Seriously, this fucker needs a slap. If things get any further out of hand, I'll be the one to deliver it, too.

Updates all round when that happens.

P.S. Hi Jack! Long time no see. By the way, this girl I'm talking about comes from Norwich - you live near there, right?

^You ain't delivering shit you overgrown barbie doll. Shut the fuck up.

She doesn't want your help bitch. Stop trying to save her from a guy that just wants to fuck that pussy and be done.

It's a life lesson her fucking dumbass needs to learn. Not like anyone helped you out when you needed to learn life lessons. That is why they are called life lessons. You learn them by experiencing them.

Not having some creepy guy with a ponytail tell you NOT to fuck some other guy because he's jealous.

If she won't accept your advice then maybe take a step back and let her deal with it. Unforunatly that means you're likely to be the one that helps her pick up the pieces at the end.

Although if you DO see anything that's seriously concerning then maybe stick your nose in.

Uh and that guy sounds like a jerk.

Hehehe..

The lady has a point, crimson. I think you have to consult the higher authority on this one.

But anyway, as stupid as this girl might seem (she's probably very lonely), she's not going to put up with his shit forever. Even the most stupidest adoring of women get tired of being fucked about eventually.

Fat and obnoxious? Sounds like you alright dickhead.

OP: Nothing you can do. Voice your concerns for her once more and after that step away.

Girls are naturally attracted to jerks.

She is attracted to him totally.

she's just bullshitting you for attention.

If she was really worried she wouldn't hang out with him.

Also, she will never like you. Ever.

I'll explain this some other time, but it's really a lost cause. It will take some time before she finally realizes it.

There is nothing you can do about it, you only fuel her fire.

Just give him the same attitude he gives you, act like you're too good for him. You're already holding a small grudge right? Might as well return the favor. Slowly but surely.

It's a lost cause.

Hate to tell you, but i'm being blunt. It's really just a lost cause.

Oh just shut the fuck up, you bitter fat little boy, just because you've been rejected once by some bitch.

I assure you, if some girl isnt attracted to you, it's not because she's attracted to a 'jerk' it's because she's not attracted to a COMPLETE FUCKING ASSHOLE, aka, YOU.

And crimsonsmoke has one of the most nauseatingly beautifull stunning girlfriends ever, so I dont think he's really concerned for this girl cause he wants to fuck her.

People like that are annoying, no question about it.

But be careful that you're not just playing a self righteous ego game, and meddling in other people's business.
