Favorite love songs?
I know it's been done before, but fuck it, I want to do it.
So, what's your favoite love song? Any song you and your partner feel a special connection with?
For me, it's "Never Let It Go" by Mushroomhead or "Scream of the Butterfly" by Acid Bath. Sadly, she doesn't feel the same connection with this music.
Also, I was just reminded of it, "Glycerine" by Bush.

it's really not. it;s not about death, it;s about the unknown. and facing the unknown for the one you love. it's heroic. it's sacrifice. it's the epitome of romance.

As I said to my girlfriend when she told me she liked that song:
"Death Cab are bloody pansies. Follow you into the dark? Fuck that, if you go into the dark I'm dragging you out kicking and screaming"

I know someone who wants that played at her wedding. And it's a lovely song.
I've never thought of Scream of the Butterfly as a love song. I can see how you might interpret some of the lyrics like that, but I'm pretty sure Dax wrote that song about a girl he knew that was raped.
Anyway... Thank You, by Led Zeppelin. <3 that song. And also In An Aeroplane Over The Sea, Dax Riggs' cover.

Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Led Zeppelin - Since I've Been Lovin' You
The Fray - Look After You
Those 3 off the top of my head. There's definitely a lot more. And those are *my* songs. The boyfriend (happy 6 months today! ) likes country. For some godawful reason. I'm working on it though. Not really.

I feel you on the Far Away.
Also, call me gay but Better Together - Jack Johnson.
It's like when i feel that special way for a girl, and i hear that song. IDK how to describe it, it's euphoric.

Apparently, it isn't named Heaven.
Goodnight and Go sounds like it's about a stalker; reminds me of You'll Accompany Me, and that song always creeped me out.

Scandalous lies!
I've only been to 4 concerts and they all rocked balls.
Then again, those four were James Brown, Tenacious D, Bob Dylan, and the Flaming Lips.
Hands down the best show was the Flaming Lips. If they are EVER playing near you GO SEE THEM! And if you trip, take as many magic mushrooms as your stomach can hold.

You need to see some decent live music. I've seen plenty of bands that sound perfect live. And a few that are much better live than on CD. Plus, live atmosphere >>>> CD. A lot of pop musicians do suck live, though, a lot more 'studio magic' goes on to make them sound like they do. I have no problem with that, it makes CDs sound lovely... but at least have the courtesy to mime for your audience so they don't have to hear how poor you really are.
