The other day as I was getting in my car to go home from work a ladies voice called out "Hello" I looked over and a lady in her 40's I suppose, was sitting in the passenger seat of a car. I said hello back and asked how she was going as to not be rude.

Anyhow as it turns out she was waiting in the car for her daugther whom she told me was "about your age", she also told me how she noticed the car (my car that I was about to get into) drove past her house all the time and it turns out she lives just down the street from me "I wave to you if I'm sitting on the verahdah but you mustn't see me...you must drop around some time"

...

Alright - I can't really describe stuff like tone in her voice or body language or anything buit what was that?

What came to my mind immediately was she was trying to play matchmaker for her daughter as the idea of me going to visit the house came immediately after mentioning she was my age.

What I did notice was she seemed pretty ghetto lol but a nice approachable on (the mother) Could it be she was looking for herself?

Or are they in need of some friends/new friends?

I'd ignore this thinking they were just after a drinking buddy or something but she told me she just happens tonotice me drive past and wave all the time threw me off.

I was not ever planning on going but I saw her the same car just yesterday with the daughter drinking it, whom was very good on the eye. But if I did wtf? I see something like this happening

sounds like she's just interested in talking to you and getting to know you better. maybe you seem cute or nice. i wouldn't assume she's trying to play matchmaker it a romantic way. if you want to pursue it just make conversation with the mom and if she thinks you're cool she might invite you over sometime. don't just drop by unexpectedly. or if she says "you should drop by," then say "oh really?" and wait for her to get specific.

My mum is a fucking whore like that. She'll see a guy SHE finds attractive (which is almost constantly) and then she'll try and push me forward as some sort of fucking conversation starter.



The one time she came to visit she spent about half an hour flirting with the guy in flat one, and now every time I see the poor guy I can see the laughter in his eyes..

Edit: I think you're cute. I mean, I could see why people would find you attractive. The case could just possibly be that she's friendly and lonely, or perhaps she was looking to set you up on a date. It's not very clear. I don't really think you have much to lose.
