Default The difference between cats and humans....

Cats will love me no matter what. Even if I forget to feed them, or accidentally kicked then across the room; they'll still hop up into my lap and beg me for the petting. Damnit, why can't humans be this way? We make mistakes, and forgiveness is so hard; but with animals, they love you no matter what the problem is! They don't judge you. They don't care what you look like, what kind of person you are (within reason, if you're abusive they wont love you....) and they don't give a shit how much you may change as a person. If only men were satisfied with food and love...

actually, if you abused your cat it wouldn't love you. it would cower and plot your murder. or it would poop on your favorite sweater if you did something lesser, like ignored it.

That's true. I've ignored my cat from time to time and have experienced her wrath!!!

"Pet me, damn it...I said pet me...now!!!", she cries...

Then proceeds to climb my leg like a tree.

That's not true, I like to love fatties. With a brick coated in cheese. They bite right into it and Bam! No more solid food for you!

Anyway PH, I hope things turn out well.. though I can only assume that S&A is the last place you'd come for advice/consolation, considering.

Got to give you credit for that cat name, very interesting.

Why can't Humans be more like animals? Lol....

You should probably not concern yourself with stuff like this. If you think that food and an ocassional petting (sex) is going to make a relationship last, than you should do some YOU work.

Work on YOU, make yourself better, and then this shit probably wouldn't happen.

Yeh cats are ok, they're friendly, and "smart" and swish their tales in a cool way...

But I think i'll choose humans, no matter the amount of bad we do, the good is always more memorable

Best of luck, anyway...

I love cats so much. They're the best things ever. Seriously.

***

I'm sorry about that, Rizzo. I can't stand the idea of my beloved kittens dying. Well, everything does... at least it had a good life with you?

***

On a slightly different note...

quote:Damnit, why can't humans be this way? We make mistakes, and forgiveness is so hard; but with animals, they love you no matter what the problem is!

Forgiveness is not hard! I cannot stay angry at anyone, for any reason (unless it's like they killed my father or something ). What's the point of holding a grudge?!

I got mad at my kitten the other day because he wouldn't leave my room when I was going out, I had to take him out 4 fucking times and on the 4th time I was yelling very loudly and chucked up into the hallway (he landed fine). I then proceded to run down the stairs a few at a time because I was in a rush and that scared him even more.

He wouldn't come into my room and see me for 4 days (And normally think cat never leaves my room, or me alone). So yeah, I do think cats hold grudges.

I kinda find it weird how you (and your partner) who both post a lot on this board seem to make threads about your relationship issues - in plain sight, where the other can see it. Is it your way of trying to resolve things or something? Kinda a bad idea if you want my opinion..

You know...the cats dont love you.

Theres a very distinct difference between keeping company with you, and loving you. And if you dont know what that difference is, it's really no wonder things went to shit with your boyfriend.

I'm not saying animals arent capable of love, because I think dogs can. But cats are too self-centered and prissy to really give a rats ass about you.

Well, if you find a 15 year old virgin he'll be that way. He'll never want you to leave, and will do anything for you... Hehe...

Except that's not true. A dog won't love a master if he stops feeding him, and doesn't pet him. A cat won't come home to a family that doesn't care for it.

We don't post personal things. Except when we hijack threads with love.....

For me, I'll post a thread just outbursting my feelings, because I just can't type it in an IM window to him for some reason.. I just can't. That's usually the case for me.

My cats love me. Well, one of them does. She goes wherever I go, sleeps by me, will only eat food if it's in my room/if I'm the one giving it to her... she's very devoted. When my parents scream at me, she varies between attacking them and comforting me. When I cried for the first time in years, she dried my tears with her soft fur.

The more experience I have with people, the better I like my cats.

I am seldom happier than when I am lying on the bed with a good book, and four or five cats. And another six or seven under the bed. (Frankie--my cross-eyed Siamese-- just had five kittens.)
