Seriously S&A, what is love?

Not lust, not "i like you more than friends" but love. (not toaster oven love but kissielove)

Feel free to ramble on, thoughts tend to flow more freely that way.

I'd prefer the philosophical aspect of love but if you wanna talk about the biological aspect or the evolutionary purpose.

(oh, and this IS for a school project, but I figured that it'd also make for a nice thread.)

I think it's a combination of prozac and a mallet to the face.

Love is probably just putting a person at a level of highest importance in your personal sphere. *shrug*

Toaster oven love?

Being genuinely happy everytime you see the person, and whenever you spend time together.

Being able to think about them for hours, without even once thinking about sex.

And as The Dan said, putting them (their happiness) above all else, but also knowing what is good for them in the long run, not just the immediate future.

Its a joke, and an excuse for the jewelry and flower industries to make more money.

Well, actually it would probably be when someone means so much to you since you connect on a higher level where you can't live without each other.

I think love is the feeling you get when you see someone, and you're heart melt and you go all warm and fuzzy. Where you would be willing to do anything to make sure they're happy. Where being away from them for an hour feels like a week, and day feels like eternity and a week is torture. I might add to this later if i think of anything else.
