Can't tell
Sometimes when I'm on the bus a girl might occasionally look at me out of the corner of her eye or turn and look at me. Sometimes I have looked at them or made eye contact with them on the way to my seat or while they were on the way to their seat and sometimes I haven't even noticed them at all until I notice that they are looking at me. I would talk to them if they smiled at me or made direct eye contact with me. I am confused as to whether they are looking at me out of the corner of their eye because they think that I was looking/staring at them and they are now creeped out or if they may be interested in me and want to talk to me. The expression on their faces sometimes change to something like annoyance, irritation, or disappointment either because I didn't talk to them or because and they wanted me to or because they were creeped out. When this happens and I am confused I simply avoid looking in their general direction because I don't want to bother them or be a creep. What should I make of this when they looked at me first. I'm really having trouble reading these facial expressions. What makes this more difficult is that I don't know whether I am good looking or not. The only people that have described be as good looking are middle aged so I don't count it for much - people usually don't comment on my appearance. Don't think that I go around staring at girls - I don't. As far as know I don't do anything out of the ordinary. P.S. I'm and 18 and the girls I am talking about are about my age - in some cases they are in some of my classes at University.

Re: Can't tell
The worst that can happen from you talking to them is them telling you to fuck off.

Re: Can't tell
Talk to them regardless of how attractive you think they are. Worst case scenario, they aren't interested but you still make a new friend and have someone to talk to on the bus.
However, with confidence comes success!

Re: Can't tell
It's not about what you think they think, it matters what you, yourself, think and do.
Don't try to guess what's on their mind, you'll rarely be right. Just do what you wanna do.

Okay, I'll say "hey" next time this is happening. Have any girls commented on this, I want to know what they think about this.

Trying to figure out the staring games that girls play is fucking impossible.

Re: Can't tell
The guys (or girls) above are right... just go up to one of them, talk to them and whatever...
Be yourself!

That being said, try this:
If a girl makes eye contact with you, smile. Hold her gaze until she looks away. If she smiles, go talk to her.

Re: Can't tell
Anything else? Girls: if you though someone watching you on the bus would try to ignore them and look somewhere else or try to watch them in the corner of your eye?

Re: Can't tell
God, that one always confuses and irritates me.
If some creepy bastard is staring at you, and you accidentally catch their eye, they think you're encouraging them or something. And so you have to work extra hard to not look at them. But then you look again to see if they're still looking, and they are, and you can see they're thinking "Right! I'm in there!". Urgh.
But then when I see an attractive guy on the bus or train or something, I always feel like I'm the creepy bastard, and I can't tell if they're looking on purpose or by accident.
Basically, it's very difficult to tell.
Mind, men are much worse at reading body language than women. So it's not entirely your fault.

With that being said, may I suggest you don't look at anyone when stepping in the bus or whatever. Just sit down, do something, and take a look around, if you see a girl trying to get your attention, you know you got it.

Re: Can't tell
You want to meet a nice caring girl, who will look after you real good?
There is a trick.
Next time you're on that bus, stare straight ahead of you, don't blink ...no matter what.
Now press both hands tightly to your temples, while rocking back forth.
Then start muttering the Lord's Prayer under your breath.
Sure as the Devil made Gingers, by the time you get off that bus there'll be a couple of real caring girls just awaiting for you...and they want nothing more than to get you stripped and into bed.
PLUS those nurses uniforms are tight, pretty see thro' and they have the BEST drugs!
:P
