Though there are many ways of testing for STDs they are very inconvenient to many. This is do partially to the travel and hassle of going to a care center of some kind for a test. Why haven't companies looked into the home market with self/partner testing kits. They didn't even have to be 90+% accurate for consumers to be interested. It has been a while since I did serious scientific research in this area but isn't very possible to find a couple of chemical indicators that test for a few common STDs? It would reduce the hassle of tests and keep quite a few people from aquiring STDs.
My question for discussion is:
Why are the only available tests for STDs very combersome, is there not a more efficient testing method that could be performed at home that is comercially viable?
