Default 2 unrelated questions: STI testing and "I love you"

I didn't feel like making 2 threads.

1) My boyfriend and I went through a few weeks where we were too poor to buy condoms so we had unprotected sex alot (retarded, I know, but that's not the point of the question). So in order to not be completely irresponsible, we went to the clinic to get tested for STIs. We got there kind of late and they only had time to test me. Well my results came back clear, so is it safe to assume that he is infection free as well? They kind of implied that there was no point in testing him if I was okay at the clinic, but I thought I should still come here for a second opinion.

2) My boyfriend pretty much only says "I love you" right after sex. I don't doubt that he loves me, but this makes it seem like he might be more in love with having sex with me, you know? Am I overanalyzing again? What do you guys think, does it matter when a person says they love you?

Well...Are you on the pill or something? I'm assuming you are, but if that's the case then why do you use condoms at all? And how can you be too poor to buy condoms anyway? Don't you go to college? I think they have them for free at the health clinic.

And as long as he tells you he loves you at all...Why does it matter when he says it?

My husband always says it when he's sleepy.:P

He may think that it means more after sex than at other times. I know guys that think that way.

If you're good, then he should be good. Doesn't hurt to get him checked anyway though. Keep in mind that although there are tender feelings, health is important.

I'm sure he'll be glad to not have a q-tip shoved in his urethra, etc. If you've been monogamous testing him is probably superfluous but if he has risks in his past, it wouldn't hurt, either.

It doesn't matter when he says "I love you" but if after sex is really the only time, you may have some issues to explore.

Lol too poor to buy condoms? Shut the fuck up, condoms are fucking free, and even when they aren't free they are practically free at .50 cents a pop.

Fucking retarded.........do you know how much a kid costs? Is anyone in this fucking thread sane?

And saying he loves you only after sex to me makes it seem like he is forcing it. Only after he has been sexually pleasured can he even muster a "I love you", why not during a real emotional event and not during something almost explicitly physical. Well not for you, but most likely for him.

1) I'm going to have to go with everyone else on this one. 90% of the time, you can get condoms. And if you cant afford condoms, you cant afford sex.

2) The chances of a girl passing on a disease to a guy isnt as high as a guy passing it on to the girl. It's still a very real possibility though.

If he -did- pass something on to you though, then it may not show up the next day. Sometimes, it takes a few months, depending on the disease, to show up on the test.

1) STI tests are possibly the only medical procedure were the guys get shafted. Q-tips are not supposed to be stuck down your cock. Seriously, I read the instructions. You're not even supposed to stick them in your ear canal. Have him consider that before he gets tested.

2) Saying I love you doesn't mean a goddamn thing. Millions of people have said I love you without meaning it. Does he act like he loves you? That is the most important thing. Course, it would be nice if he told you once and awhile, but the words aren't the most important thing. The feeling is.

1) At my university's health clinic, condoms are 3 for 50 cents. You can find 50 cents anywhere, or borrow $2 from someone to get 12 condoms. I know that at other clinics they're either free or ridiculously cheap. Even at Walmart a dozen condoms is something like $6. If you're too poor for condoms, then you shouldn't have sex. End of story.

2) Ask him.

Default Re: 2 unrelated questions: STI testing and "I love you"

Condoms are 50 cents at the health centre, but we literally did not even have 50 cents. And they're cheap shitty ones that burn me. Anyway, that's not the issue here, I'm not pregnant and I don't have any STIs, so I am considering myself lucky and will try not to repeat my past behavior. He's the only guy I've ever had unprotected sex with, he has the ability to turn me on to the point where I don't care. But I know that's retarded (and so does he) so we're trying to be really careful.

As for the "I love you" thing, I suppose I can just ask him why he only says it after sex...I like Euda's theory though. And I unlike CarbonB, I find sex to be very intimate, both emotionally and physically. So now that I think about it, it does seem like an appropriate moment for someone to express their feelings of love.

Are you sick? In the 6+ times I've brought up the 'untested fors'? No one has ever replied?

Well, as I've posted before...

I foolishy ate some bad musky muff? Smelled & tasted ok? Yet, as I know about incubation periods I watched myself for 10days after. A Doc I mention the waiting period to said, 'What was the waiting period for?' Ooooh! Those docs!

I proceeded to get a clear nasal discharge that would pour out of me? Only when I was home with the cats...when I was out I was fine.

The Clinic said, 'Yer fine!' Docs said, 'You've just suddenly & suprisingly 'developed an allergy'! These things happen & no one knows why!?'

My dentist pulled a tooth & ended up giving me three Antis. Each time my 'Allergy' was knocked back by about a third. Ten days later it was back in full force!?

Docs I told that to, of course, ignored a silly layman's statement. Silly laymen!

Finally, through hearing Dr. Mirkin on QR77, I heard of Microplasma. A weird li'l microjobbie that's different from yer usual micros. Susceptible to Tetracyclines.

On Doxycycline my 'Allergy' went away from two hours after I started taking it. Sure, I had to take it for months?

No more 'Allergy' though. Heck, I even went to an Allergy specialist? No doubt he ignored me 'cause of the $300 of allergy tests he could do.

Yer prob fine. You don't...have allergies do you?

Sex isn't purely physical, it releases chemicals in the brain that promote love and monogamous relationships/attachments. So it makes perfect sense.

Sex doesnt count immediately before/during/after sex. It just doesnt. Hell, I make such a big deal about it when my partner tells me she loves me, because she doesnt feel the need to back it up ever, and I think its bullshit. And even I let it slip occasionally when theres sex involved.

Well, for me personally, I sort of like to...express me love through sex? Like, having sex with someone really strengthens the bond with me. Just being inside someone and being really close, and yeah, it's just really nice. It's when I do that and I don't feel disgusting afterwards that I know when I love someone. YMMV.

Your boyfriend should get tested too in my opinion.

For all you know he could be the host of a disease and not manifesting symptoms! A disease that could eventually affect you!

Though you know, I should really practice what I preach.

As for the 'I love you' thing, he may only sya this to you right after sex because this in when he feels the most confidant and comfortable to actually say it to you. Do you say it back? What kind of tone does he use when he says it? Does he do the little acts of love that constitute the non-sexual side of the relationship?

And last but not least, does he put the toilet seat down? Because you know, I think that shows /true/ love.

ALMOST EXPLICITLY physical. Yes, sex can be an intimate moment, and can contain emotional along with physical stimulation. However, Rizzo being a dumbass and chalking love up to chemicals in the brain, and trying to tell me that sex involves emotion?

Shut the fuck up bitch, plus Sick_Boy my comment about him saying "I love you", why don't you re-read my post.....I'll wait.....

"not for you, but most likely for him", that was in reference to if sex is just physical or emotional.

Of course it's emotional for you, you're a bitch. Guys on the other hand do not treat everything with emotion. This is why you are a fucking retard.

Now shut the fuck up, literally didn't have 50 cents? Now I know you're fucking lying, it's called borrowing a fucking dollar buying a lifestyle from the convenient store and making "love".

My babe says I love you every single moment Im with him or talking with him, it's not just a phrase to speak, it's a way of eyes, a way of his breathing and the way he touches you, it's the type of thing that you know without him telling you, he shows me instead, in everyway, and it's not planned, its always spontaneous and genuine, I wouldn't like it if he told me he loved me after the act and only then he's saying that. Usually guys say that because they love you for what you have done, not for who you are as a person, but I suppose there are exceptions, right?

Anywho, He says it all the time with me, and shows it a hundred times more than he says it.

I think you should talk about it with him, Sickboy, if you two are engaging in intercourse, then I think you two should have enough confidence and open communication to talk about ANYTHING.

That's how I see it.

Modern toilet seats actually have a hinge mechanism, removing the hassle from switching between 'up' and 'down'.

And I've noticed that i kind of tend to blurt out the L word too, right after I bust. Its really strange. I don't intend it at all. I mean I don't NOT intend it either, its just like "Holy fuck. Im going to lay down now. I fucking love you."

Do you know how often he's had unprotected sex before? If its been a lot, then I'd so go on and have him get tested. If its been with just you and you're positive of that then don't worry about it.

Some guys just aren't good at saying "i love you" Does he say it back when you say it to him?

If he acts like he loves you then thats really all that matters. Its nice to hear it sure, but words don't beat actions.

I don't understand it, are you living in a dream world? Where when I say one thing, you basically flip it into something completely off subject and then try to reply with a post based off that ridiculous assumption?

Is that what you do? What reason would I have to talk about my relationships on here, this isn't my blog. This isn't my support group, I don't use totse to help me get through life. I use totse as a way to entertain myself while I am on the computer.

a. attempts at forming an acquaintanceship, reaching an agreement, or the like, made by one party.

b. actions or words intended to be sexually inviting.

Probably because people who use a lot of drugs realize that all of life is just one big chemical reaction, and that any feelings felt while under the influence of chemicals are still true. Chemicals may explain the physical aspect of sex and love, but that doesn't negate any spiritual/emotional aspect.

Anyway, we've hi-jacked this thread enough. Sick_Boy it probably is a good idea to get him tested too, but it's more likely you would have something that you didn't pass to him than vice versa. As for the saying "I love you" thing, I personally feel sex is(or can/should be at least) something special between you two, so it's an appropriate time to say it, that being the only time he says it though....as said that suggest he loves what you are doing more. Just talk to him about it, or say it sometime when you aren't having sex(if you actually mean it) and see if he says it back.

Now shut the fuck up, literally didn't have 50 cents? Now I know you're fucking lying, it's called borrowing a fucking dollar buying a lifestyle from the convenient store and making "love".

Oh God... you fucking rule dude.

I'm so glad more people are realizing what a fucking idiot Sick_Boy is.

The whole condom thing is fucking ridiculous. Planned Parent Hood and clinics and shit give away FREE CONDOMS all the damn time.

But they're the cheap ones and make your sausage wallet burn? Oh stfu and tell your man to eat you out more or tell him to spit on his dick and lube it up. I'd like to see you get some horrid STD that makes your pussy burn for hours and days after you've had sex with the "better" condoms.

You're a poor fucking skank if you don't have 50 cents to your name.

quote:Of course it's emotional for you, you're a bitch.

I couldn't have said it better.

Just because a guy wants to fuck you doesn't mean he's in love with you or anything. He wants to fucking blow his load. I don't know why that's so hard for emotionally misguided girls to understand. Sex does not have to mean anything at all.

Animals fuck all the time without making emotional attatchments. Can you, Sick_Boy, not do the same? Are animals that much better than you?

You're ignorant, and worse, you're arrogant. There are animals that form emotional connections from sex. If you claim you get no emotions from it, it's obvious you're either a liar or have no soul.

quote:The scientific tale of love begins innocently enough, with voles. The prairie vole is a sociable creature, one of the only 3% of mammal species that appear to form monogamous relationships. Mating between prairie voles is a tremendous 24-hour effort. After this, they bond for life. They prefer to spend time with each other, groom each other for hours on end and nest together. They avoid meeting other potential mates. The male becomes an aggressive guard of the female. And when their pups are born, they become affectionate and attentive parents.

I suggest everyone read that. Actually, I'll just make a new thread for it.

He didn't say "most animals" or "the majority of animals", he merely said "animals", which is an all-encompasing statement.

quote:Remember this fucking face! AHHHHHHHHHHH! God, you are fucking stupid.

Oh dear, I think he's about to have a heart attack.

Once again, you miss the point entirely.

I used the word doubt because I am not sure if he really cares or not. Speaking strictly for myself, I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT THAT YOU RAPE RODENTS ON THE WEEKENDS!

Also I doubt I am going to have a heart attack, I am pretty healthy.

You are also too fucking stupid to realize the Sam Kinison impression, you are also too fucking stupid to realize you are debating semantics and the use of words. Which by now you should fucking realize no one gives a shit about.

This isn't your fucking english class bitch, it's totse. Here you do what the fuck you are told to little bitch, and right now I'm telling you to go sit in the fucking corner and wait for me to come prod your fucking face with a tire iron BITCH!

I thought moderators were supposed ot be the mature ones to break up the arguments, not show up in an instant to call the guy a 'fat fuck'.

Nice immaturity. Consider this advice and not a flame. If you flame me you will end up in tears. =(

anyway, carbon's absolutely right. Now, I don't know the guy that MsTopicCreator is dating, but there are a lot of mature and real guys out there who really DO love their girlfriends, and it's not just for the sex. It is of fear of weakness that people like that don't often say the 'L word', though people like that are still logically inhibited when they've just gone through an orgasm.

Science > What you want to think about Love. Sorry.

You need to learn to construct more coherent sentences, then.

quote:Speaking strictly for myself, I DO NOT GIVE A SHIT THAT YOU RAPE RODENTS ON THE WEEKENDS!

Awesome, too bad I don't.

quote:Also I doubt I am going to have a heart attack, I am pretty healthy.

So you say.

quote:You are also too fucking stupid to realize the Sam Kinison impression,

Because stupidity is determined by how many comedian's acts you know. Right!

quote:you are also too fucking stupid to realize you are debating semantics and the use of words.

Who said I didn't realize what I was arguing? Words are symbols for meanings. If you screw up the words, you end up with a different meaning.

quote: Which by now you should fucking realize no one gives a shit about.

Why are you replying then?

quote:This isn't your fucking english class bitch, it's totse

And this means what?

quote:Here you do what the fuck you are told to little bitch,

I beg to differ.

The whole purpose of Totse is to having conversation. Why the hell should I be forced to take it off of Totse? There is no rule against flaming or debating, and this is not spam.

If this were true, you wouldn't get personally offended when Carbon said that all of the bodily functions and ideals are based off of chemical reactions.

Unless you just hate the guy, in which case you're still Immature and therefore very emotion-drive, which makes you illogical, which means you lack understanding of the way life works, IE Science.

some people aren't complete pricks who only fuck people to fuck people. Some people are only worn-down enough to let their insecurity-shield break just after an orgasm. End of story. Argue with that and you don't belong in this topic.

^Thank you!

Everything he says is just to annoy, I mean come on. I say I doubt I'm going to have a heart attack and his reply is, "So you say.".

I mean how fucking lame is that?

I don't sit on here and try and impress with my abilities at sentence structure. I type what comes into my mind, and if you think you can honestly write as fast as you think, then you don't know jack shit about science.

Which is why a lot of people's posts contain missing words, and sentences don't always come out complete. So please pick some other petty bullshit to comment on you lame piece of shit.

Someone pooper scoop this fag into the trash.

Only about half as lame as you are.

No, that's because people are lazy and don't proof read what they write. Although everyone makes mistakes.

Okay, how about the fact you never back up what you say? How's that for science?
