Am I going to get hurt?
Found a really awesome girl, we jumped into a relationship fast... really fast.
I did not really desire a relationship initially, I was in a bad spot in my life - but I liked her and I couldn't really ask her to wait for me.
It was kinda rough after a few weeks into it, but then I got some direction with a new job and we had some awesome times. I was really positive about it and everything, and of course.. this is when I'm told she feels neither of us are ready and she wants to be friends.
She made it sound like she still has feelings for me which I think is true, she said there was something special between us. Does it sound like it could blossom again if I wait it out, or am I just going to end up alone?
I know I should ask her, but I feel better just... telling anyone. I'm having trouble gauging what our relationship will stand at, if there is even going to be one at all anymore.

Probably, yes.
Take it as a learning experience and move on.

Re: Am I going to get hurt?
I agree with another pint. I was in a similar situation earlier this year. I had an amazing time with one of my guys friends but a relationship wasn't really appropriate at the time (for either of us). There was a few months where one of us was falling for the other, but never at the same time. We ended up sleeping together a couple times, but nothing ever came of it except for a broken heart on my end.
The point I'm trying to make here is that if she wanted you, she would have said so and you guys would be together right now. Don't trick yourself into thinking she'll change her mind, like I did.

Re: Am I going to get hurt?
Sick_Boy you sound about right...
What really confuses me is it seemed we we're on a high note when it was called off, when there were plenty of other situations where it would have been... more appropriate I guess.
I guess the ensuing weeks of 'friendship' will really determine what happens. If nothing comes soon then I know I'll just get screwed over by waiting...
People are so confusing.
