I dont know if this is the appropriate place but its more about my girlfriend i suppose has anyone else gota partner with a family member dieing from cancer? im just posting on here to let a bit of stress out that my girlfriend is putting on me she rings everynight in tears her mum has cancer in her liver, lungs and every vertabrae in her spine.I help her as much as i can and it helps her most nights ive gotta knack for calming people and making them happy again but it puts a bitof stress on me too. anyways just thought i could do with someone else maybe in the same situation to talk to

First off , yes this is the right forum. Wether it is your girlfriend's mother or your own.We take 'affection' to cover almost all 'family' issues and a lot more besides.

Secondly, it sounds like your girlfriend/her dad need to have a go at the doctors. Pain isn't therapeutic and when someone has terminal cancer then there is little to be gained by leaving them in pain. She should be outta her face on morphine 24/7.

Unfortunately doctors are often wary about doing that.They need to find a doctor who hasn't forgotten that he is human...there are some.
