Default memory

So this one boy I like had a brain tumor freshmen and sophmore year. He is a junior now and he kind of likes me too, but when he got his brain tumor removed he lost some memory.

So he keeps forgetting that we are hanging out and today our mutual friend said that he said he forgot how I looked, that I was pretty, and he wanted to remember, but he doesn't.

I'm pretty bummed, and I can understand, but normally I usually don't call first or anything like that and it's going to be difficult transforming this into a relationship.

Any ideas, comments, etc?

Was his memory just wiped? Or does he have a hard time retaining new memories? It doesnt sound like you had anything serious going on, so it wouldnt be that bad to just start over. But if he keeps forgetting every time he sees you, then maybe there are better guys out there for you.

Memory lapses certainly aren't an intented side-effect. Might want to talk to him about whether he's told anyone

I can't remember diddly shit unless I write it down or study it for a year.

...maybe thats why most of my relationships end in fire...

right after the surgery his memory was wiped out for the most part... he would have categories right but he would say the wrong thing. for example if his parents asked him what a shirt was he'd call it a sock. but for the last year and a half besides having trouble with retaining new memories he's been fine

Ok. Use this for your advantage. Convince him you were having massive secks before he had his surgery, but he just doesn't remember it. Then say you want to pick up where both of you left off.

It depends how much work you're willing to put into it. You'll have to put up with forgetfulness that may seem hurtful at times.

Maybe write down or record important things? Photos would be your friend in this sort of situation.

Fucking with people who have no memory FTW!
