this girl i know is going out with this 19year old and she is only 14. should i tell her parents about this or what?

It's legal unless they fucked. Even then you would have to prove it.

uh, I'd say it's weird. Then again, I'm 19 soon, and my girlfriend is 15. She doesn't look/act like it, but numerically she is.

If she's not exceptionally mature I'd say the guy is pretty sad. Or am I being hypocritical? meh.

Naturally age of consent varies by state and location. Also chicks mature faster than guys, so it is likely that she, 14 or 15 appears to be as mature as you are.

oo. but if they do have sex thats illegal. also her mom would fucking flip is she knew she was going out with someone that old. i dunno if i should bring it to her attention.

When I was 17 I went out with guys much older, but I do think 14 is too young for dating anyway.

i agree. law and ethics are two separate things. there may come a time in your life where you will depend on the kindness and even silence of others. no need to rat someone out. events will take their course without your interference.

I remember all the things I got away with...and the few that I didn't as a teen. But now I understand my parents side too, and the anguish they must have gone thru.

Parents should at least meet the people their children are spending time with. My mom met every guy I dated (and my girlfriends) when I was living there. She never asked about their ages, maybe because her father was 15 years older than her own mother so it didn't seem unusual. I can't say for sure.

that would be a real dick move. as long as he isn't horribly abusive to her, just let it go man.
