Cold sores? Herpes?
So my girlfriend has cold sores. I know that if she has an active cold sore, she can give me cold sores if she kisses me or if she gives me head.
But what I need to know is: If she doesn't have an active cold sore, can I get cold sores from kissing her or on my dick if she gives me head?
Yikes!

Re: Cold sores? Herpes?
All I know is that cold sores can spread, but cold sores don't always mean herpes.. I doubt they will transfer to your genitals, just your mouth.. if that's even as possible as I think.

Re: Cold sores? Herpes?
They most certainly can transfer to your genitals. And as far as I know, cold sores ARE herpes.
But it should only be a problem during outbreaks. Any other time you're good to go.
I've had cold sores for years, and I would never kiss her or go down on her during an outbreak. But I do constantly otherwise, so...nothings ever happened.

Re: Cold sores? Herpes?
Apparently, no
What are you so afraid of anyway, it's less of a nuisance than a flu

Re: Cold sores? Herpes?
Don't make her kiss your dick when it's active, you'll regret it.
You got awesome medicine for it. If you even get it all these days, you can have it gone within a week, just always have the medicine ready. And never let your lips dry out, so you won't have it in the first place.

I have herpes. Cold Sore = Simplex Herpes. If you have a cold sore it is herpes. If you pass on a cold sore, you pass on herpes.

Re: Cold sores? Herpes?
HSV1 = Cold Sores
HSV2 = Genital Herpes
At least 90% of the population has HSV1, while much smaller portion has HSV2 and HSV1. HSV stands for Herpes Simplex Virus.

It can be spread from mouth to genitals and vice versa. Avoid kissing her or letting her go down on you if she's got sores. Wait til they heal.

My little brother had cold sores all over his face and hands.
Don't even think about it! If you don't treat it, it will spread hardcore.

That'd be chicken pox, sores inside the mouth or anywhere other than lips/genitals are caused by something else

Chicken pox are indeed a strain of herpes, aren't they not?

I'm 20 and I've never had Chicken Pox. =/
I hope to be sterilized by it later in life. I don't want to father children and a vasectomy costs money.

Yes, my fiancee just got chicken pox a few weeks ago and when I read the papers from the doctor it said herpes. Wasn't too happy.
