Default I learned something at a party a few nights ago.

I went to a party on Tuesday night, and I didn't really have a reason for going.

I saw this girl that looked hot, and I went and talked to her for a little bit, and we got along, but then she kinda just, left me there, and I went to talk to one of my other friends.

Then some other chick(she was kinda pretty, not as pretty as the other girl though) started talking to me. We were hanging out with her and my friends, and just bein really fuckin stupid.

Then, the first girl I mentioned sees me I guess, then she comes over and sits on my lap. After flirting a lot, we eventually start to make out. As everyone was leaving, I got her number and I'm supposed to call her tonight.

Anyway, my point is, once I stopped trying to get the girl, the girl came to me. I had almost forgotten about the first girl when she came back. I've been told that this is what I need to do, just act like you don't care, and the girl should come to you. Have any of you ever had a similar experience?

Eifersucht. Maybe she saw you with the other girl, realized that someone was gonna take her dude and tried to do something about it. Interesting tactics... I should try this.

yeah bro- engage, then step back for a while. if she was interested initially, or if you cause a raise in her interest, from talking to that other chick, then you're in when she comes back..

You have learned a universal and valuble lesson. You'll find that this almost always works. And its not all about jealousy either. Its approaching "hard to get", but stop short of "uninterested".

Practice and you will be a master.

Pfft.

When guys do that it just makes me feel bored and a little bit insecure.

I mean, sure, it might make you a bit jealous. But if you just scratch the surface, he's doing it because he doesn't have a better way to get your attention.

Not appealing.

What if someone actually, honestly walked away from you and did that, without knowing it would(or in an attempt to) make you jealous?

I'm really shy and avoidant and girls confuse that with this stupid little hard-to-get game. Doesn't really work out for me.
