if its a shitty ass ring with onyx or jade as the focus, or the ring does something like change color, then definately no.

If she has a silver ring, probably not, they are in fashion now.

however, if its a gold ring i would be worried

I wear a ring on my left hand.. it looks a lot like an engagement ring too but it's kinda cheap. I'd say if it's not a gold and diamond thing no but some girls have weird and/or cheap ones..
