...that your girlfriend had an orgy with a bunch of guys a year before you two started dating, would it change anything?

In my case, boyfriend.

I'd think that was hot and ask to be involved in one.

But in all seriousness, why should it? You weren't together then.

Guess it depends on what floats your boat.

Something like that would be difficult to overlook, but it's hard to say if it would. I would probably discuss the hell out of, but that's just me. I'm always wanting to understand the why's....and as such, usually kick a dead horse quite some time.

If she had never mentioned it before, yes, it certainly would change things. I wouldnt want a girlfriend who would double-up with 2 guys, let alone several.

I would just never be able to be intimate with her again.

Fuck.

I never realized how much that would affect me. Just picturing it is making me want to break up with her.

Exact same with me. I really don't like the thought of my girlfriend with a bunch of guys. Some times I even get jealous when she talks about guys she has been with in the past.

I'm male. I get off the phone after an hour of talking to someone and the wife will ask me 'what did they say?' and i'll have genuinely no idea. Yesterday is a strange and foreign country.

Soooo if i can't even remember wtf i had for dinner yesterday or my own birthdate then why the fuck should i worry about a girlfriend's past unless it directly impacts on me TODAY??? (like she had an abortion or caught AIDS).

Girls on the other hand can recount EVERY FUCKING conversation in nano-detail you have ever had with them...

jack, i know you're against abortion, but how does her having an abortion directly influence you today? it would just mean that she did something that you don't stand for, in the PAST. the same way that a girl taking on two guys was something she did in the PAST. i agree with your point in that it shouldn't make a difference, i'm just questioning your example.

i don't mean any disrespect, i'm just wondering.

I'm like that with my bf.

And he's not talked that much about them since we got together. Just in passing or whatever.

It's weird and it makes me paranoid or whatever in case he's lying to me and they were better, prettier and just found them more attractive and whatnot in general.

Lol, it's mainly the exs that were long-term that bother me most, like there's remnants of some of them round his house and on his computer and it's just weird to me.

One he lived with had a letter delivered here today and it's a bit like "o0o0o... hmm".

He's taken some of it away, but there's strill the fact when we were just friends I got told stuff (not in great detail) about a lot of the girls and it's kinda freakin' me out.

Call me stupid and irrational but it feels a bit weird sometimes.

That probably would be weird.

What's really bad...is when they get angry with you and call you their ex's name by mistake. (and sometimes not by mistake...but as a dig...)

That has happened to me a number of times.

There is no way i can answer that without risking kicking off another pro/contra abortion debate. I should have chosen a different example, although i'm hard pushed to think of one because if i'm in love with a woman then about the only thing in her past (besides infectious diseases) that could make me question if this is a person i want to be with is that or maybe serial adultery.

All i will say is that i would much rather she had slept with countless men/women/ cute farmyard animals or been the town crack whore than she had had an abortion.

He's never accidentally called me by an ex's name. Don't think any guy I've been out with has.

That would just be terrible. I'd be proper shocked probably. Has it happened to you then?

Ummm...yeah.

I have to admit that I've very nearly done that myself when I was angry too.

Depends how I found out, I guess. If I was told by the girl - then I could probably accept it, provided that she wasn't some kind of slut who loved having orgies with different guys every week. Lol.

If I found out from anyone else, and found she was trying to conceal it, I would care far more - simply because that would mean that she was a liar.

My ex told me about three months into our relationship that she made out with some guy (who also fingered her) on the day after we started going out. I said: "Well that was fucking stupid. Did you like it?", and she said "No, not really". I forgave her because we'd just started going out.

I'd tell her it didn't bother me, then ask my friends if they wanna get in on one. Then they could pay me $$$ and I could whore her without her knowledge.

"Hey, that orgy thing you talked about... wanna try it again?"

It says something about their character really. I think that's the problem.

If you're okay with it, then fine, but if you disagree with doing something like that then it's an issue.

To use jackketch's example, a woman choosing to have an abortion says something about her views on morality and general outlook on life. If your own views turn out to differ strongly from hers, then you have a problem. Same goes for orgies and the like.

Though if you'd think less of her for it, but be fine about doing it yourself, yer a bloody hypocrite .

The only two things I wouldn't handle:

1.) Finding out she has a penis.

2.) Finding out I was being lied to and used in a callous manner.

I confess I am a tad disappointed in you

I thought that someone of your insight would have known that gender, like love, is deeper than skin deep.

People, if you havent already then watch a film called 'The Crying Game'.

I'm not sure that I would be willing to handle being lied to on that level.

It has never happenned to me though, so I can't speak from experience on the topic.

Trust me on this, the question of 'when should I tell him' is a debate that constantly rages on planet Transexual Transylvania and is probably one of the biggest issues any tranny has to deal with. Most really agonize about it.

Because unless they say it within the first few minutes of meeting a bloke then whenever and however they do finally tell it he feels 'lied to' even if they have never uttered an untruth .

I'd have to get over the fact that it's not my business, but it'd still make me question what kind of person she is/was. It's difficult to say. A girl's past really shouldn't affect me, but I let it do that sometimes. Feeling jealousy is something I really dislike.

I've gotten that

LUCKILY never during/near sex of any kind. Its happened maybe 6 times in a year, usually after shes been talking to him (they're good friends, but not in a way that makes me nervous).

"Hey paul, did you-"

"Brian"

"Fuck, sorry...Brian..."

It just sucks, cause she was with him for like 3 years, so her family does it too. *sigh*. Oh well, gives me a good reason to make her feel like she owes me something.

Now if it ever happened in any sort of intimate or sexual context, she'd be sleeping on the couch.

quote:Originally posted by jackketch:

And I get that one too. I'll talk to my mom or dad on the phone, and since shes trying to get to know them better, she'll ask what we talked about. I'll just say "I dunno...nothing?" Then she gets all upset because I'm either a) not sincerely conversing with them or b)just not telling her.

But thats not it. Its a mix of smalltalk, or, I simply DONT remember.
