Default A little advice for a buddy

Well my friend is obsessed with a girl at the moment. He can't get her out of his head. So he wants some advice on how to get her to like him and then go out with him. They do know each other, but don't talk alot. He does try and start conversation but finds it hard to thnk of things to say. So what should he do? Any help appreciated.

BTW this really is for a buddy and not me.

Unfortunately, your friend just needs to force himself to be interesting around her. There really is no other way.

Yes, yes.

Anyway, no one can teach you how to be interesting

i fear that trying to "get someone to like you" romantically will often have the opposite or an entirely different effect.

if she doesn't like him already, then there's little he can do. if she does like him, all it takes is getting over his fears and treating her like a normal person, while also moving forward in the various courting stages.

edit - 3rd case. she is indifferent, in which case he must communicate his interest to her, and portray himself in an attractive light while also "being himself." but this thread is so general it's almost generic; therefore it's hard to give good advice.

Invite her to do things where conversation is possible. They can get to know each other better, through conversation and activities. If she's willing to get to know him better, take it from there.

What do you think he should do? What's your advice to your buddy?

Theres probably some confident, cool attractive asshole around the corner who she likes more.

Tell him that, it's the most likely the truth.

I just tell him to talk to her and sort of hint towards the fact that he does like her, and see how she takes that, and ofcourse, be himself.

I always say the way to a girl's heart is through her vag. And the way to her vag is a hospitalisation-size dose of Jack Daniel's.

But seriously, a lot (I hesitate to say most...) of the stuff you see being said on here is true. It may not seem to work or be do-able, but being confident/cocky and funny are gold. People doubt the effectiveness of it all because they expect the town drunk to turn into Kevin Sorbo because he suddenly loves himself, but it will help you. I mean your friend.

If you are (he is?) ugly or fat or whatever (take your pick) then it's gonna take more work, but that don't mean it's impossible.

Nothing worth having is easy to get. Remember that.

It took me like an hour to realize who Kevin Sorbo is...

Just thought I'd share.
