breakfast time for baboons.
i think that talking is completely unnecessary. no one will ever be able to understand exactly what i'm thinking, so trying to express it through words seems so....pointless.
social interaction, in general, seems pointless to me. i go to a public high school, and just watching the thousands of children milling around and flapping their mouths as if they have anythign relevant to say sickens me. i have one close friend who i spend all my time with, and we've known eachother for so long we barely have to talk anymore. but in any conversation, i start to feel BORED and get weird selfconsciousness that theyre just as bored as i am.
this is a problem, because i am unbelievably horny at all times, and just lost the closest access to sex, and dont really know how to strike up a conversation that will lead to anything.
and i'm just sorta scared. will i ever enjoy human interaction again? will i ever have a conversation im actually interested in? '
your thoughts?

Re: breakfast time for baboons.
I really hope you don't interact anymore. To say that every conversation going on around you is pointless drivel is just being completely egotistical, how do you know what they say isn't important? Do you actually listen?
You just seem like an asshole from what you just wrote. Maybe I am wrong, but I highly doubt it this time.

I feel the same as you. Take solace in the fact that there's other people with the same issues.

I think a lot of people have "been there" from time to time. What are you interested in that you might like to discuss with someone who doesn't know you very well.
It sounds to me like you're afraid to open yourself up to people and use boredom as your excuse not to.
(Love the title)

Re: breakfast time for baboons.
It gets better once you've left school. Trust me.
When you start to meet people who are on your level and into the same things you are, conversarion will last a long time without boredom.

I agree with both points.
Be opinionated, respectful of others, and you're all set.

Its a venetian snares song title, from the album Songs About My Cats.
This guy is not as original as he likes to think or appear.

Re: breakfast time for baboons.
you got me.
its a venetian snares song. it was either that or 'elephant talk' (king crimson).
thank you for your replies, you give me hope. today i got in a ridiculous fight with said best friend. so i currently have 0 friends. suprisingly, i dont care that much. im just....bored.
it's not that i cant open myself up to people, its just that i honestly don't know what to say. its embarassing actually, when im really stoned and with a few people i'll be like "you know what..." and just trail off because i dont have anything to say. and it seems that they dont have anything to say either, so we just sorta sit there and have several silences.
and im scared cuz i dont think i have any interests. what do i do in my free time? masturbate, eat, blaze, freak out about hw i never do, college applications i never write, etc.
i feel increasingly pathetic. i really cant wait to move on with my life.
thanks for hearing me out

Re: breakfast time for baboons.
OP is right. High school communication IS pointless and silly.
I mean you can only talk about who is dating and who is a loser for so long.. oh wait, I'm lying, it never ends..
There are people in every high school that hate the meaningless chatter too, you just have to find them. Take debate or something?

Doesn't matter if you don't like communicating: you need to learn how to sooner or later. Its not hard.

Re: breakfast time for baboons.
you sound like one shitty excuse for a human being, you should learn how to have fun for once. I've had some of the greatest conversations of my life baked out of my skull.
