My last ex had the decency to begin dating a close friend of mine, so that I might always be aware of how active her romantic life is... :/

With the exception of one man, the rest of my ex's completely dropped out of my life so I never really had to deal with seeing that.

I just found out yesterday that my ex girlfriend is dating my sister's ex boyfriend. That's right.

This is beyond fucked up; it's not like I come from a small town either, in fact...none of us even come from the same town...none of us went to high school together or anything like that.

Although, 9 out of 10 girls I've been out with dumped me for some reason or another then came to me asking me to take them back a while later.

My girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me for some other guy. I give her credit for actually separating with me before being with him, but there is no question that she went to this guy pretty much immediately afterwards.

That was about 2 1/2 years ago. Shes gone through a terrible, incincere, cheating relationship with him, broken up, gotten back together, and broken up again. They were both rather cheaty in the relationship. I havent seen her since, but what I hear from people (I now live on the other side of the country) is that shes really turned a little slutty and gross. Shes now broken and alone.

I, on the other hand, have gone through my own slef-discovering lonelyness and all that depressing shit. I now have a fiance who I've been with for over a year. I'm happier than I ever was before with my ex. I talk to her every few weeks on MSN to see whats going on, but its really just to make sure that I'm doing better than her.

I win.

It doesnt matter if he has a new partner first. They say the best revenge is living a great life, and at first it sounds like the stupidest shit. Good revenge is slashing some tires and pissing on mail, but I have to say, my life is ridiculously enriched knowing that it better than her's. Have a happy life with someone you really care about.

You broke up, so what? It's over. Don't dwell on the bas aspects because then you'll become cold and mean. Instead, remember the wonderful times, and feel happy for them if they do find someone else.

But I'm not a cold-hearted asshat like the rest of you trying to make myself feel better by saying I was the best they got, blah blah blah. It's rather childish when you think about it (but then again, most of you are children aren't you?).

Remember the good times, forget the bad, and feel happy for them because they've moved on. And then move on, yourself and stop dwelling on their life.

My ex (19) broke up with me so she could date a 30 year old who lives thousands of kilometres away.

Im still friends with an ex of mine, but we would never even consider talking about partners. It's not like we'll ever get back together, but it would just be a little too weird.
