...a sign of wanting something more?

This girl I've been friends with for a few years sent me some nude pictures last night, but I don't want to jump to conclusions.

We've been friends for a while, and last year, it came out that we both had feelings for each other.

However, I moved a fair distance away, so nothing came of it, unfortunately.

I still talk to her online, but haven't seen her since last August. She got involved with someone, and after she graduated, she moved in with him.

They have since moved closer to me, and we've been talking about getting together soon to catch up. Just as friends. She's living with her boyfriend, she's happy with him, and I'm happy for her. Really, I am.

Then, a few days ago, she was talking about a bra she got, and I made a joke about wanting pictures. She told me she'd give them to me. I didn't think anything of it, since we always made pseudo (and not-so-pseudo) sexual jokes with each other before.

So I was surprised to get an email from her this morning, with pictures attached. None of a bra, though. Rather, pictures of her bare ass, and her laying naked on her back.

I actually do still have feelings for her, but I don't know if these pictures are just her being overly-playful (or drunk- the pictures were sent at 1:30am...), or if she's actually interested in something more.

Obviously, I don't want to jump to conclusions and assume she wants something more, because if she doesn't it'll probably ruin our friendship.

So what do you think?

Totse ladies: Would you send naked pictures to a friend that you formerly had feelings for with no intention of wanting anything more? Or is that really a sign and I'm just being incredibly dense?

I've been burned in the past by misreading signs from a friend that I had fallen in love with, and it completely ruined that friendship.

I'd rather not go through that again, and I'd much rather have her as just a friend than out of my life forever.

If we don't seen any naked pix by tonight, she's a slut.

I was planning on "playfully" asking if he knew she sent the pictures, something like "Your boyfriend must be pretty cool if he's comfortable with you sending pics like these to someone who has feelings for you ". That way, I'd find out if he knew, and I'm also coming right out and saying "I still have feelings for you". But, if this isn't a sign, and she is just being playful, then I can always say that the "someone who has feelings for you" line was just a typo, and I meant "someone who had feelings for you", but the s and d keys are right next to each other So that would give me an out if I'm (and everyone else here) is misreading her.

Unfortunately, bringing up the boyfriend might not backfire. What if she does want more, and by me bringing up the boyfriend, I'm just reminding her that she's already with someone, and it might make her feel bad about sending the pictures, or feel like she betrayed him or something, and I don't want her to feel like that. Also, as selfish as it sounds, what if bringing him up reminds her of him, and she realizes that she can't leave him, and then I've completely lost any opening I might of had?

Do you want to know or not? Basically, that's what it boils down to. Is it a bad thing that she knows you're interested? Just make certain that "cheating" would be out of the question. Also, is it bad for you to "correct" her for her actions if she does feel badly about it later? Isn't that what a true friend would do...someone who makes her think about her actions and motivations behind them? If you're truly friends then you should be able to do that and still remain friends.

If it's not a door you choose to open right now, then close it firmly behind you and do not suggest anything further.

I'm just going to tell her that while I do still have feelings for her, I don't have any intention of acting on them, because I understand that she's with someone now, and I missed my opportunity to be with her last year, and I don't want to do anything that would jeopardize her relationship with her boyfriend or our friendship. That way everything is on the table and she knows where I'm coming from, but I can go ahead and safely shut that door for now.

Firstly, to Hippie, you on the FUCKING INTERNET! just download or browse some pic of the web and youll be fine.

Anyway, onto the main point. From the sounds of it she likes you, and from the sounds of you you really have esteem issues when it comes whether or not people like you or not, possibly from being shot back and losing a friend a while ago. Hey, ive been there, several times, but only ever lostone friend beofre, but none the less i know how ya feel mate. The problem is you either have two options:

1) wait and see/do nothing at all about it. This will mean you may miss out a chance/your only chance of being with her, but you will keep her as a friend.

2) You take a risk and go for it. You could lose her as a friend, or you could both become something soo much more to each other.

The main problem is the choice. The secondary problem is that yuore expecting an unknown person to magically grant you the prefect solution to youre dilema, when in reality YOU have to make your mind up, and if i was you i owuld do it as soon as possible, and fuck what everyone else thinks.

i would have to say i wouldnt send nude pics to a guy i used to have feelings for... but thats just me. and she might still have feelings for you if she was telling you about her new bra (she wants you to picture her in it) and then sends the nude pics to you. also did you check the time the email was sent that might give you a clue as to show if she might have been drunk if you know she does that sorta thing when she drinks.
