True un'adult'erated affection?
The other day I was watching Family Guy and a girl is liking Stewie. Just a little toddler, there is also an earlier episode in which Stewie falls for a girl.
Now I believe that this is pure, unprocessed or refined affection. I mean two 5 year olds that 'love' each other - Nothing to take advantage other from each party. The concept of using them is to advanced for the young minds, no sinister meanings behind anything just pure affection.
Do you think so?
When I was 5 a girl kissed me. I thought that meant she had choosen me for marriage and I was all worked up thinking I had to marry her and move into a house with her. Ahhh young minds
Do you have any stories like this?

Re: True un'adult'erated affection?
I was a bully in primary school and no girl would have dared be friends with me because of the reputation of my family.

Re: True un'adult'erated affection?
heh...
I remember back in kindergarten, I liked this one girl... I don't remember her name, or what she looked like, but I remember I "loved" her.
At recess, I would get on top of the slide and watch for her (much like how stewie did, if you want to compare the two) And she was also talking to some other dude. I was heartbroken. I don't remember much about it, and I wasn't sad about it (no feelings) but I do remember that... odd.
I'd also force kids to pay the "slide fee" of two rocks, which i'd just throw back on the ground. I buried my teenage mutant ninja turtle toys in the corner, hoping to come back and get them later. I never saw them again.

What do you think is behind the attraction? Is it strictly a physical attraction?

In Primary school I was in that situation with a girl. We decided we were going to get married and have a family. When I saw her again in Seconday School; she didnt even know me.

Well I think that early childhood attraction is a taught behaviour. Biologically humans feel love so that they may find a mate and reproduce. Before puberty, however, reproduction is not instinctual. I think children watch movies and tv, and see their parents interacting and they are emulating that behaviour.

Re: True un'adult'erated affection?
Ahhh. A few weeks back a guy came into work to buy flowers for his parents' graves. They'd died the same day=[
The sweet thing was that the two had grown up together in the same village, and when the boy was 6, he told everyone in the village that he was going to marry her! And he did, for 70 years=]

Re: True un'adult'erated affection?
That is sweet Iso.
Yes, there are all kinds of stories like that one; they all lack the cuteness of your story though, there was simply fun and friendship. My mind never connected sexuality with commitment, it was all just in good fun.

awwwww geez. cute.
when i was in kidnergarten i had this "boyfriend," and he would always bring me presents and stuff and he was really sweet but i donno, i was sort of in love with the green power ranger and that put a strain on things...
i don't think so much that we really felt love for one another, it was more like we liked each other a little bit more than everyone else and it was sort of special. in a cute, nerdy, stirrup-pants and dentist rings kind of way.
