Default The Choice.

The Grim Reaper ascends to the Earth and takes you and your loved one captive.

He gives you a choice: Either die, or let your other die.

Who would you choose, and why?

And what would happen if he was just "kidding around" and your lover figured out that you had chosen your own life over his or hers?

Don't fear the Rapper.

Now this is the story all about how,

My life got flipped, turned upside down,

And I’d like to take a minute, just sit right there,

I’ll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel Air.

In West Philadelphia, born and raised

On the playground is where I spent most of my days.

Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin all cool,

And all shootin’ some b-ball outside of the school.

When a couple of guys who were up to no good,

Started makin’ trouble in my neighborhood.

I got in one little fight and my mom got scared,

And said You’re movin’ with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air.

I begged and pleaded with her the other day

But she packed my suitcase and sent me on my way

She gave me a kiss and she gave me my ticket

I put my walkman on and said I might as well kick it

First class, yo this is bad,

Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass

Is this what the people of Bel-Air livin' like,

Hmm this might be alright!

But wait I hear the prissy, bushwa and all that

Is this the kind of place that they just send this cool cat?

I don't think so. I'll see when I get there.

I hope they're prepared for the Prince of Bel-Air!

The plane landed and when I came out

There was a dude,looked like a cop,

standin there with my name out

I ain't tryin to get arrested yet I just got here

I sprang with the quickness and like lightening disappeared

Well, I whistled for a cab, and when it came near,

The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror.

If anything I could say that this cat was rare,

But I thought Nah forget it, "Yo home to Bel Air."

I pulled up to the house about seven or eight,

and I yelled to the cabby "Yo homes, smell ya later."

Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there,

To fill my throne as the Prince of Bel Air.

He would probably just end up killing you both anyway. That's the way it goes.

I wouldn't answer: it's Sophies choice.

Or I'd just pull out my colt 45 and bust his fucking skull open.

Yeah.

Except my mother's. And... well, the girl I love right now. I guess my answer to the Reaper would be "take me instead." I had never really considered that before. But she definitely deserves another chance at life more than I do.

Who am I kidding?

As if anybody who reads S&A doesn't know my answer. I'd really hope that she felt as strongly, but I guess it wouldn't much matter at that point.

Edit: It wouldn't matter if she would do the same or not; I would actually hope that she knows me well enough to know and respect what I would want to happen. That's me though.

I'd give my life for my ex. For selfish reasons mainly, as in I couldnt carry on with my life knowing that I'd chose to cast aside anothers life for my own. Also because I couldnt bear to see him in pain. And finally because I dont really value my own life that much anymore.

Great song and nice metaphor...Or something to do with the lyrics...Whatever!

"Baby take my hand...Don't fear the reaper...."

I'd die and let the missus get on with her life...I'd like to be remembered for something good!

If the two of you feel the same about each other, ie, you would give your lives for each other, it would be cruel to die and leave the other alone in the world.

But it wouldn't be cool living without them either.

I'd take the easy way out and opt for death. Or just refuse to answer and see what Death did.
