I just returned from hanging out with this girl I really like.

One of the first things she told me when we met in town today was that she liked this other in our class.

Fine, that's not my grudge.

My grudge is, that for the whole autumn term she's been flirting like crazy with me. (which is the reason I started liking her in the first place)

She been giving me these warm smiles across the classroom,

she ditched all of her friends and walked to town in the rain with me instead of taking the bus,

she generally rubs up on me all the time,

she once as good as offered me a kiss,

she made me come into the changing booth with her,

and all her friends have asked me if I like her, and they all say they're sure she likes me.

Last week right before she left for Belgium I gave her a hug and started saying 'I really like you...' (terrible I know)

And she bursts out laughing and leaves.

Now, after being convinced by one of her friends that she just misinterpreted me, I called and asked her out.

She happily agreed.

Then, we meet in town and she tells me how much she likes this other guy.

Now, what the fuck is she getting out of this?

What was the point of all that. Can't be just friendship cause I've never been that nice to her which she tells me all the time. And why would she ditch a bus full of friends for me?

Fuck...I'm in a bad mood.

Needed to semi-blog this off my chest so I could get some fucking sleep.

Sounds like she's a fan of mind-games. All you can do now, is ignore your feelings and try to play the game on the same level. Failing that, keep being her puppy dog for the next 6 years, or just break all contact with her, and get back with her once you're ready (if you'd still want it).

Well, it's certainly a rush to focus & be focused on? So? Did you get a rush from that? From spending time with her? Just the same for her.

Did you see her paying attention to other guys?

Did she see you with other girls? Did she see you enough with the other females? I can recall that a girlfriend I had? She payed some of the strongest attention to me at the motor licensing office? When a taller & better looking girl just asked me a question about the system there?

No overt flirting or such? Just a couple of dozen words about the office? My girl just gave off these competetive & jealous vibes? She wasn't that super interested in me otherwise? Another girl payed attention?!

I can't believe no one said it. You fell into the dreaded friend zone. You're a safe guy - there's chemistry, but it can never develop so it's okay for them to charm you without apprehension you're gonna make a move.

Just get over here. Are you still in high school? Forget her, man. They do this all their lives.
