does "just friends" ever work out?
Lateley I've been hanging arround with my ex alot. She is pretty cool to hang arround with. She bought me a new pipe for no reason she said she was just thinking of me when she saw it and she gave me it. It's pretty awesome we can just hangout get stoned and play xbox or watch tv. She cooks for me sometimes when we get baked.
But today when we were sitting on my bed watching tv she leaned into kiss me and I backed out. And I'm pretty sure she wanted to kiss because she put her hand on my arm and leaned in for a kiss with her eyes closed. I kind of felt like and ass and it was really akward.
I don't really want to start a relationship with her though shes really cool and all but I want to get together with my other friend.
Do you think its still possible to be really good friends with her and date someone else? She gets jealous a lot if that makes a difference.

Re: does "just friends" ever work out?
to answer the question in your thread title,
yes, I think so. but more often than not, it might not work.
I had a one night stand this saturday and we agreed to be just friends, no strings attached. but still, I now feel quite attracted to her.

Re: does "just friends" ever work out?
"Just friends" does happen to work quite a bit..
It takes a LOT of work on your part to keep yourself her friend, and not her boyfriend..
I have LOTS of female friends that I've never "dated" never done anything with, and don't plan to. They hook me up with SOOO many of their friends nailing them would be like giving up lots of future sex.
IN YOUR CASE THOUGH.. it most likely wont work. You guys dated.. I'm going to guess you weren't friends before then.. so all you *really* know is each other in a sexual relationship. By breaking up for whatever reason, you ended that relationship.. and since you held to your guns, and were "just her friend" YOUR actions prolly changed without you knowing it.
You prolly turned into "just her friend" in which you made fun of her when she did something stupid, and generally didn't care too much what she thought of you.
BAM. She's attracted to you again. There is, honestly, just about no way you'll beable to continue being this girls friend as long as you want to, or ARE nailing other women.

Re: does "just friends" ever work out?
Whenever I hear 'just friends' I think of Elaine and Jerry from Seinfeld. I really don't think it would ever work out as well as it did for them, though. DAMN YOU TV!

Ya I just had a break up, and now we're just friends. I still feel the same tho, but I dunno about her. Baiscally we broke up because ofthe distance, she goes to university like an hour and a half away. I'm hoping we'll have another chance, because I'm not done with her*wink*

She sounds like a person who cares for you, so why not just go with her again?

Re: does "just friends" ever work out?
Well that didn't last long basically I got rejected by a girl just recentley(She has a BF apparentley) So I pretty much felt like shit and opened up to my ex. I asked her if she wanted to come over to watch a movie tomorrow so I'll see how that goes I'm still not sure if I really want to get back with her after she just fucken left me and ran away... but the feelings are still there and they are pretty stong... I mean I find my self literaly thinking about her at least 10 times a day I'm thinking of her now... I'm just going to go with my heart

Re: does "just friends" ever work out?
*shrugs*
I can stay 'just friends' with someone.
I'm damn excellent friends with one of my ex's, there are you know, just a few minor facts that make any romantic relationship we pursue just not work out. Other than that we're perfect for each other.
But you know, we're just friends, that just have sex ocassionally.
Imo, the way most relationships should be.
But hey, if you're looking for something steady, Go with what ToothlessJoe said. They are your ex for a reason.
