Clothes/shopping/hair/makeup/kitties/drugs/food. These are some of the subjects I like to ramble about. The way a guy makes me ramble is if I'm nervous. So maybe don't talk and she'll ramble to try and fill in the silences? Although I think this is one of my less endearing traits...

Most of the time you dont have to ask anything for her to ramble on.

If you wnat one to ramble on ask them about tattoos...it always works...trust me, you may even regret it. (they don't need a tattoo just ask about tattoo's in general.)

I'll ramble about horses, penguins, philosophy, my FUCKING AWESOME new eskimo boots (seriously, these things are effin sweet), mayan civilization and conspiracy theories. Most other subjects will get a brief response, followed by a blank stare.

Just try to get an even conversation. Talk about stuff, then ask questions, let the person answer fully/change the subject/ask a question.

If you want to get a girl to talk, make sure you appear to be listening. Nod when appropriate, and make listening noises.

today a guy got me to ramble on and on about politics by bringing up an issue and then staying silent and saying "so...." really awkwardly whenever i tried to be finished. i felt like i had to keep talking.

Sex? Its a great topic to get them to talk about, because its so subjective, another is religion or abortion. Because, everyone has a different perspective about it. But also, less debative things would be asking about her day, how'd she sleep last night, plans for weekend, favourite class, previous relationships. Pretty much anything subjective.
