Default Rivalry.

There's always that one guy who talks to your girl just a little to much. That one guy who smiles at every fucking thing she says, who laughs at every dump joke she makes. He's the one who touchs her just enough to piss you off, but not enough to "mean anything," as she always delicately puts it. Then he acts like your friend, and tells you that he doesn't actually like her anymore, and that "you two look great together!" although under that facade of "understanding" you really wouldn't mind tearing each other's throats out. You are going out with your girl, but must stay guarded, for he talks way too much with her.

Tell me your stories of these rivals, and troubles that can arise when they are not shot/stabbed/taken care of.

The reason can be what arquin stated. In that case, tell him to leave her alone or he will wish he had.

I know guys that my woman works with hit on her alot because she tells me they do. I trust her but I still like to catch them talking to her. They all recognize me and they know better but I pop into Sears(where she works) at random times to see her and it amuses me how quick they scatter when one sees me.

But if any of them make one mistake I won't think twice about slashing some tires or breaking some windshields as a warning. Then if the problem continues, I'll have to break some noses.

Unfortunately, when telling your partner's ex to take a long walk off a short pier and they are "friends" it will give you a load of shit from your partner.

I would say talk to your girl. Tell her he annoys the living shit out of you with his talking and touching and whatever else bothers you. See what she says.

Bear in mind that some compromising will more than likely have to be done at this point but watch out for not getting fucked over.

Tell him also that you don't appreciate his closeness and make it clear that whatever they had before is over. Tell him to step back and let you have your turn.

If it doesn't seem to do the trick then go and tell him to fuck off unless he wants a claw hammer surgically removed from his arse!

Why would he have had a claw hammer shoved up his ass? More to the point...do you honestly think he would get the point that 'you don't like him' for helping him with an expensive medical procedure?

the other day i was talking to a dude that likes my girlfriend, i didn't really want to just be an asshole from the start though so i asked him politely not to hit on her or anything. The next day he asked her out, obviously getting a no from her and he knew she's not single, still i havn't been an asshole about it but if i hear more shit out of this guy i think i'll have to be.

Just kick his ass and tell him to fuck off.

I had the same problem with my girlfriend for the first few months dating. She had a couple guy friends flirting with her and of course because i am a jealous person, i immediately threatened them because i felt threatened and since then they havent tried any of that lame bullshit.

Just stand your ground with the douche.

CORRECT!

I was like that at first with my last girlfriend, but it wore off... it actually I think upset her that it wore off and I no longer got angry when guys stared at her/hit on her.

Now, I just don't give a shit if another guy hits on the girl I'm seeing or asks her out.

Although I don't really have a girlfriend at the moment... more of just someone I'm "talking" to as she would probably call it.
