There is a really cool chick in my english class at college. She's pretty fine and we seem to click pretty well. The thing is she has an "on again, off again boyfriend". She shows interest in me and I told her to give me her phone number and we can hang out soon. she gave it to me. Since she has an on and off boyfriend I don't know if I should ask her out straight up or just keep talking to her and see what happens. what do you guys think?

just ask her, she clearly wansts to hang out.

Seems like you got the case of the hardian ass my friend. When both choices seem like a good idea, I'd would usaully go for it and see what would happen.

Start hanging out with her outside of school, see how well things go.

you should be aggressive. she's not committed for a reason: she wants someone else. and judging from flirtation/giving you her number, it could be you, if you guys end up clicking.

If you want something serious, I would avoid that like the plague. If you just want to fuck well...catch her in the off again phase
