Girls, if you prick us...
Once again i am having to spend precious geeking time having to console a teenage son who has just had his 15 year old bleeding heart ripped out of him by a girl.
(Of course in the meantime she has seemingly changed her mind AGAIN...)
Girls, especially teenage girls, please please remember that not all men are hard nosed, misogynist bastards like me. Especially teenage boys are hyper-sensitive and have not yet acquired the emotional armour required to deal with female mood swings and foibles.
A smile and kind word will make their day, a cold shoulder will plunge them into the deepest depths of despair.

Re: Girls, if you prick us...
Really? Every guy I've ever dated who's been younger than me has been a completely retarded emotionless prick.
There's alot to be said for dating older guys who've actually grown some common sense, decency, and intellect.

LOL, you've just described my eldest. A classic 'love and leave them' merchant but (so the girls tell me ) cuuuuuuute!
But there are others. Both his brothers are very sensitive souls (although fuck knows how with my genes and parenting).

Re: Girls, if you prick us...
Yeah, I have to take friends out all the time who have been emotionally crippled by something that would never even occur to you.
Regretably, it is something that would never even occur to you. So there is nothing to be done about it.

OK, I didn't know that. Sorry.
And my answer wasn't a jokey one - I didn't mean it like that.

Caring is one thing... it the girls who seem bent on tearing out my vital organs, plaiting them nicely and making me swallow them again, that I hate.

Re: Girls, if you prick us...
A girl just did that to one of my best friends. She led him on, let him think that she would go out with him, then decided she just didn't want to. Even asked to still hang out with him, after rubbing his face in dirt essentially. The only explanation she would give is she said "I guess I could have handled things better than I did." Really, that's just crap.

Caring and obsession are two different things, when you learn that you will no longer be a needy self-absorbed little girl.
Catharic yea, I laughed at that.

Catharic yea, I laughed at that.
I'm very fucking self absorbed right now. After I got shat on for doing my best to care for another human being, I'm now of the oppinion, 'Fuck you. Fuck the world, I'm looking out for me.'
Which is awfull.
But I dont think you've got a right to call me self absorbed for my past behaiviour in loving a guy.

Yoyo, please don't take this the wrong way and i am not criticising but how much of the failure of your relationship was due to a 'self fulfilling prophecy'?
As far as i can remember, almost from the start, you were voicing your fear that he was going to leave you/didn't love you etc.

I've learned the hard way that it is self absorbed to give someone every little bit of yourself and hope for the best.
You need to keep your dignity and independance somewhere deep down in case of emergeny.
Don't ever forget that life is a game, and you can never entirely let your defences down or you'll be fucked over again and again.
Peace and love, Yoyo. You'll be ok.

Re: Girls, if you prick us...
I'd like to think I've developed some maturity, common sense, and intellect. The emotional coldness came first though.
Men that are too emotional or too clingy get ripped to shreds by most women. What women claim they want is never who they end up with...those guys get kicked to the fucking curb.

In the meantime however he did tell me I should do the world a favour and go kill myself, and also freaked me out a bit with the fact he wants to get married and have kids within the next 3 yrs - ugh what? (he's 18, almost 19, i'm 19.. scary)
Ultimately with all this stuff + much more, I think I was justified. And if I knew the stuff that made me change my mind, before I liked him (and led him on, which wasn't actually leading him on, really, it was at one stage genuine interest) I wouldn't have said/did/acted the things/the way i did
sometime's it's justified, lots of times its not though. Chicks can be bitches, but just like guys, it's not ALL of them who are fucked.

Re: Girls, if you prick us...
it's not scary for some people. some people id think that was awesome, i wudnt mind kids/whatever now if it were to happen, but just for him, he's like, one of the most immature people i know, plus hes had 3 jobs in 12 months, stayed at each for a week and quit coz he was sick of it already... he just wouldn't give kids a good life right now...
sorry i kinda overgeneralised, meant to write, good for some not for him..
maybe fatherhood could be his 'calling' though.

Oh and to yoyo.
Dont be calous over your last relationship. It will only ruin your next one. Looking out for number one is good and all but leting people close to you is what gives life magic.
Honestly Im about to leave a girl who is crazy in love with me and wants to spend the rest of her life with me. Its cold in a way but think about it another way. You and him stayed together and eventualy moved in together had a family and all that good shit. But all those feelings would still be there you would still not trust him and worry about him leaving and he would still be thinking in his mind that there is more life out there and that he doesnt want to be with you. But now youre stuck. Just picture the alternative. I dont know it gives me a piece of mind...
