I have a problem where I will seriously be interested in a girl for about a week or so. We will talk often and most of the time, she wants to take it to the next level. However, at this point, I get extremely bored and literally stop talking to them all together. I was just curious if anyone else is like this too?

It happens when you realize that you can "have" a girl.

Exactly. My way of coping with it is having a one night stand or two and then totally breaking off contact from the girl, unless she seems exceptional in some way, which has only happened twice. I've been like this ever since I worked out how to get girls attracted to me. Its probably developed because women are nearly all the same, which makes them easy to manipulate on a widespread level. Its a game. I wish I didn't have to play it, but nobody can deny that women satisfy a very basic desire.

Haha, welcome to my life. I've just given up. Sort of a "wanting what I can't have", kind of thing maybe? as soon as I "have" them, I completly lose interest.

You just have to find someone who interests you for longer than a week or just pull it out and try to see what other things may happen from it. Even though she may bore you, you might not even know everything about her. Wait atleast a month before calling it quits on a girl that starts to bore you. Just give it a chance.

^^^Even the most intelligent, thought-provoking person can be boring from time to time. But that's usually learned after you've been with them for a good while.

but anywho, my suitemate is like that. she will be really friendly with a guy and hookup with him, but as soon as he shows signs of liking her or god forbid ask her out, she stops talking to them and moves on to the next guy.
