So, I'm not sure if this is the right forum. MY friends (a girl) Mom passed away last night. I can't imagine how devasated she must be, but I don't know what to do. Me and a friend called her earlier, and I can tell she was holding back tears, but it didn't help much. I texted her on AIM and told her I was there for her if she needs me, but I don't know if that's the right way to go about this. The death was quite unexpected, but it was nothing gorry. She died during a knee surgery for her Polio. Help me Totse.

telling her that you're there for her is all you can do really. it probably made her feel better.

My uncle died on the operating table during a routine hip surgery. Fuckers.

Don't push her, but just be there for her. Try to see her in person and just take care of her needs. Like make her some food or something. A shoulder to cry on is also a good thing, but don't be an asshole and put it in her butt just yet.

My gfs dad died a little eailer this year, and he grandma It was hard but I just stayed by her side and let her know I was always there for her and I cheered her up very well. Actually alot of people in my gfs family/extended family has died this year and ya just stick by her and make sure u see her. When I heard what had happened I went right to her and stayed with her for the whole day. People close to me have died too and she sticks it out with me so ya. Just stay close to her and tlak to her and make her smile
