Is This A Date?
I asked a girl if she wanted to go to a dance, where she said yes, but I can't take her to dinner beforehand because of my parents, so we both chose to just meet up at the dance itself.
Would this still be considered a "date?"

Yes, and what have your parent's got to do with taking her to dinner?

I wouldn't really consider it a date without the dinner.

I'm 14, a freshman in highschool.
Uh... should I bring like a corsage or something? Or is that like stupid or...?
I'm not really familiar with this, I must say.

corsages are for proms really, just meet up with her and have a good time, be prepared to dance--if you don't it will be less of a date than it already is.

Should I dance only with her, or can I dance with other girls?
I really like her, so I don't wanna screw this up.

Freshman eh...okay
She'll definitely want to dance with her friends too, so don't try to monopolize her time by dancing with her non stop. Make it clear you're there with her though, if you really like this girl, just dance with her. Just act comfortable, confident, and have a good time.

While it may seem wrong now, if you dance with other girls, you'll either get her attention and she'll show you she cares, or you'll turn her off. You want to come off confident, and cocky, but don't go overboard with the asshole.

Re: Is This A Date?
yes, this is a date. a high school date. you should dance with other people, but spend more than 50% of your dancing time dancing with her. but if she looks offended when you dance with other people then stop. if you really want to seal the fact that this is a date, then at the very end when you leave/drop her off you can kiss her.

I was thinking about kissing her, but should it be a quick kiss of the lips, or a kiss on the cheek? Or...?

Kiss on the lips, linger for a couple seconds, no tongue. Then back up, look into her eyes, and tell her goodnight and that you'll call her soon. Confidence is the key!

They breathalize you before you come in. I had thought about that, however. Maybe a little weed?
And to Fanglekai: Sounds beautiful, but were you really serious?

Letting your fucking date dance with other people?
WTF is wrong with you idiots?
No, you say "YOU'RE HERE WITH ME BITCH, , SO YOU'RE ONLY DANCING WITH ME."
If some fag appproaches her to dance, you knock his lights out.
No need to be a recessive pussy.

You are a moron. He has no need to be all overprotective or clingy with a girl he hasn't even gone out with. If he does what you suggest then he'll lose her. I guarantee it.

Fanglekai, I believe he's joking. That is why I didn't respond. I thought of similar things as this.
By the way, how old are you, Fanglekai?

Then she'll be like "...um, not with you." If she says "im leaving", it seems to me that she means "I'm leaving alone." Otherwise she'd say "let's go." Or "we're leaving." Or "want to leave?"

Yes, bring alcohol. Dutch courage never goes amiss, it's all about nerve and experience. You obviously don't have experience so the trick for you is bluffing. Pretend you know what you're doing and people follow you like sheep.

no, because they're going on a date together. unless she's mad at him, she's not going to be like, "i'm leaving without you!!"
and sometimes people aren't confident enough to suggest that the other person leave with them.

Oh ok that explains a lot, I was actually thinking that you might be his friend or brother. Welcome to totse, and also yes I do think that would be considered a date.
