So, not too long ago (month or so), I met the sister of an acquaintance of mine, and seemed to enjoy hanging out together. We have lunch with a group of people every day or two, and so far that's been going quite well. She is a year or so younger than me, with me being 17.

So, in order to avoid being filed away on the friends ladder, I have to hurry up and get my act together pretty soon if I am going to make a serious attempt at this chick. I'm not exactly Brad Pitt, being 5'11" and a bit over 200 lbs, however I do have a twisted sense of humor and a nice car.

You totseans got any tips or ideas that might come in handy? It would kind of suck to graduate high school and end up like WannaFuck...

Why would your car even matter? If you think it was worth mentioning (incomming generalization), I'd say you're lacking in the personality department.
