My best friend likes this one chick that i've liked for about 6 years, on and off. Im shy to ask her out, but i don't want to lose her to my best friend. Any suggestions?

Honestly, what do you expect people to suggest? There's only one solution here, and it's the one that scares the shit out of you.

Trust me, I've gone through the same thing. And when you don't take action, it creates the kind of regret that only gets stronger as time goes on & stabs your brain in the off-hours.

That's your only hope, but by now you might be way too much of a "guy friend." After you become "just friends" you'll never get your chance. I'm not trying to sound like a dickhead but from my past experiences, that's how it's been.

What scares you more...

Asking a girl out after six years. A girl you really like and would like to see yourself with. Even if she says no.

Moving on and finding someone else to be happy with.

Seeing your best friend happy and content with this girl you have liked for so long. Having to be present when they are going to be inevitably kissing and cuddling in front of you. Touching and groping. Probably fucking somewhere around you at some point.

All because he had the balls to ask her out and you choked and hid.

You make the choice, pal...I know which scenario I'd rather face.
