Default Best friend's girl.

Okay, I'm sitting in my house alone on a perfectly good Saturday night, depressed and heartsick as seems to be the usual for the past month. I haven't been posting much, mainly because of school and my new job at Starbucks which seems to be my only few hours of escape and feeling of purpose in my life at all. It's a good job, in some ways, it reminds me of &totse; assholes, nice people, stupid people, lazy people, smart people who all have one thing in common, they want coffee, or in totse's case, to post on a message board. Anyway, it's kept me busy and kept my mind off all the shit in my life, so enough about that. Now, if you're bored and don't want to hear me vent and tell you about what's going on and why I need help, then stop reading... pretty simple right?

So sophomore year started out pretty quiet, pretty easy, noneventful and such. Me and my buddy were still messing around with girls from our middle schools since they were easy to hang out with and good girls. That started to get old fast and we figured "hey, we have licenses and cars, why not use them". But trying to find new girls created new problems. It all started a few months ago when our firend decided to have a big bonfire party with a ton of people; it was a hit, I was hanging out with all the ladies and to make a long night short, we found new girls.

Now the shit begins, we start hanging out with these beautiful girls more, get drunk with them a few times and think we have matches. This is nice becuase once again, me and my buddy can go in together since these girls are best friends like us. Well, I think I have it figured out and I ask this girl to homecoming a few weeks out and then he asks his girl. Meanwhile, I start hanging out more with this girl he asked and I realize that she's incredible (you can see where this is going), we can talk for hours and she's a lot like me. Now, my friend is a good guy, but he is very athletic, he wrestles, plays football, everything, if there's a sport, he does it which doesn't leave a lot of free time for him to be with people outside of school. Also, he is hard to read and you can never tell when he just wants to get some pussy. Anyway, homecoming happens yay. It goes very shittily and my date is having some issues so she ditches me and is dancing with this fag the whole time. Luckily, I start grinding with this slut that I had a thing with earlier in the summer and make this chick jealous. haha horray for loose women. We stop talking after that, stupid bitch.

Now, fast forward a few weeks: my friend asks out this girl that I think is awesome, but still me and this girl start hanging out more. Last weekend was when it really started to happen; we spent 3 hours in my car talking and hanging out and I want her more and more every minute. We end up sitting outside looking at the stars in complete silence and we both wanted each other so bad, but she's such a good girl that of course she doesn't cheat on her boyfriend. We talk more, I get really fucked up and I remember us falling asleep on my friend's couch together keeping each other warm and everything just felt so right for once in my life. Now, take into account that I've never had a serious girlfriend because I'm picky and I just hadn't found the right girl.

Two hours later, her boyfriend knocks on the window so that he can see her, we go outside and he's all fucking over her like he always is, grabbing her and staring into her eyes and shit, I hate it. I spend the rest of the night pissed off and get crunker so that things don't feel as bad. These last few weeks have been shit like that nonstop. Tonight for example, I went over to her house where her and a few of my friends were drinking and we chilled for an hour, she showed me the underwear she just bought, we chilled, talked. Striking realization: I love her. This girl is driving me insane. I talked to one of my girl friends about her and she thinks I need to go for it, but how could I do that to my best friend? Does he even like her?

Totse (the caring posters, not the assholes), what do I do? This girl is tearing me apart and I have never felt this way about anyone, I need her. Sorry if that was long and choppy, it's hard to get everything out when theres so much to say.

Dude, just stop hanging with her.

This is one of those times when the pussy isn't worth it.

If your prepared to lose your best friend over it, then at least be mature about it, and let your friend know what you're doing.

Personally, I wouldn't suggest shitting on friends like that. I did it once, and our friendship never really recovered, and the girl? Getting engaged to some other guy (she's 19). Definitely wasn't worth it.

I said serious girlfriend, and by serious, I meant really serious; I've thought I was in love, but I wasn't, so I do know what I'm talking about. But, i definately think i'll talk to him about it just because he'll probably tell me it's just for getting some action. whatever though, typical totse responses.

Is she worth losing your best friend over?

If you must go for it, wait until they break up. Does she feel the same way about you? Talk to her... either way, don't do anything until they're broken up for more than a couple of months or so.

I had a similar problem during my sophomore year of highschool. It was shit because I liked a girl who didnt even give me a chance. I was just feeling shitty all school year, failed classes, lost my job, ect ect. But then, when summer came around. I started hanging out with my current girlfriend and never gave a shit about that girl I met before. Come to think of it, I can't even remember her last name.

you said you came here asking for advice?? well everyones advice is not to mess with your friends girl.. now since that's the advice you DIDN'T want to hear you are getting pissed off.

the only reason you are sweating this female is because she is giving you attention. talkin' about how she showed you her underwear like it means ANYTHING.. cmon man.. ..

This whole thread shows that girls are indeed evil. I have the same situation, two best friends, one girl. He thinks Im just her friend, I thought the other way around. She thinks us both her best friends with potential to become more. Eh, sucks. Looks like its to the death.

Depends on teh situation of there relationship, if its falling apart then you might as well swing for it.

If they are getting married or have 'love rings' then i wouldnt as your BEST friend would literally kill you

Forget some of the assholes in this thread.

First of all, try to find out what your friend is in it for, is it just the pussy? If so, try talking to him about it. Chances are to be honest, it won't go good. I really don't think she is worth losing your best friend over. But I don't now her, and I don't really know you feel. If I was in your shoes, I'd just try to forget about the girl for now. Well maybe not forget, but kind of not be alone with her or anything like that. Don't do it to your best friend.

Good luck dude.

Oh, well to betray your friends trust is really low. So don't do that. Also, it's a pretty shit thing that you think you're in 'love' with her... Becuase that is when people start acting wierd, feelings get hurt. So just be aware of that.

^^ this is true.. but i mean.. it depends.. i know that if I met a girl I was really interested in, and my best mate was trying to shag her, and i said, "hey look, I really like her and want to be with her and you just want a shag and you could get it from anyone so.." i'm sure he'd understand.........

maybe. we'd both have to be on drugs.

Dude i can honestly say that its easy to meet another girl (well not easy, but comparitively speaking), extremely difficult to find another really good friend.

I'd have to agree with what firekitty posted about, do you really think she is worth all the rouble you'll go through because of this?

Take into consideration this is your best mates GF, put yourself in his shoes, how would you feel if your girl went off with your mate?

However at the same time I sadly know how it feels and I can understand how much you must be tearing yourself up at the moment. So the best advice I can give is to weigh up the pros of getting the girl you want and cons of having to lose a good mate. But at the same time remember not to have your feelings about your mate tarnished by the feelings you have for this girl.

After all if things go wrong with the chick, where does that leave you?

There are always ways to get the chick out of your head anyway, it sounds liek you could really do with a good break anyway, so just take a weekend off and just go out some where secluded so you can think without having to be constantly reminded.

Either way, hope you make the right decision.

Who do you value more, your best friend or this chick?

Also, I have a valuable lesson for you to learn, it's called "paragraph breaks".

Fuck dude, I feel for you. I'm stuck in the same situation. I am in-fucking-love with the girl that my best friend/bandmate is going out with. She seems to have a thing for me, well either that or shes just reallllllly nice. But yeah, i feel terrible cause i know him personally and he is one of those cheating guys and it would kill me to see her sad.

whatever, ill just have to wait for the right moment to grab the bitch and run.

Listen buddy, this is a stupid move. If she'll leave her current boyfriend for one of his friends what do you think she'll do to you when she gets bored?

You seem like a jackass, seeing as you don't really care about your friend at all so I don't think she'd stay around for that long anyway.

Go find another girl, there's gotta be a whole bunch of them that aren't dating your best friend out there (unless your friend is just that awesome).
